And they'd be right. What's the point? This has already been discussed ad nauseam. Yoshi has already said that they don't want to add parsers. Either way, this is still popcorn worthy so by all means carry on.If he responded to that thread, he'd get 1-5 people respond that say "Why necro this?" and would get no actual discussion. It's still an issue, and a better thread to be on the front page than "why can I use stone skin on my ACN but not my WHM when synced to Sastasha?" I mean who cares? It's Sastasha...

againanother thread of this...
simple answer. "We wont be getting one"
it is important to not let it go forgotten, as that helps the dev's realize it's something we still care about. I am not sure why you are concerned with the poor quality of posts we currently have on GD. Gems such as:
Raid Finder is G-O-D-L-I-K-E - it's been around for awhile, but great I guess?
Choose The Next Three Jobs for 4.0 - Just a fun thread that serves no purpose
Bring Back Bazaar's - I am unfamiliar with this feature, but by their explanation I can't see why a dev should waste time on this when we have market boards
Show your Miqo'te !! - Why are we showing our Miqo'te's for 3 years running?
Fan Fest announcements will determine my future in this game.. - I actually think the original point of this thread was good, but turned in to "You don't like something I like, go away!"
Ul'dah should have an aethernet shard by the market. -Why, there are already so many aethershards it takes like seconds to get anywhere in that city.
Fan Fest Stream QUestion "Can I please have a free option that other people are paying $30 for?"
Tales from Duty Finder: Some make you laugh, some make you cry. Let's vent. - I actually like this thread, but it also serves little purpose
Squadron Recruits - Look at my silly looking squadron recruit everyone!
The chance of winning the 3 lines reward of Wondrous Tails is ridiculously low - I think this is decent feedback and discussion
Forcing NA Duty Finder to be better, we need a grading system. - I think this is decent feedback and discussion
Poll: What Weapon-Types would you like added to XIV? - Just for fun, serves no purpose. Devs have already decided their direction for 4 years they said?
Bizarre Internal Inconsistencies For No Apparent Reason - I can't stone skin on my WHM in Sastasha. Literally unplayable.
cleared sophia ex first time last night - Good job?
PS4 PRO and FFXIV Graphics and Framerate Patch - I am not sure why graphics options should be catered to Sony releasing new consoles, when PC's have had and continue to have far superior specs available. Upper end should cater to the actual upper end.
With Halloween coming up (Seasonal weapons) - Not a bad thread, but I imagine if they are adding Halloween themed weapons that they started on this many many months ago.
Show your Roe!! - Why are we showing our Roe's?
Why do Prototype chest pieces still take 4 weeks to obtain?. - While I agree it seems weird that it takes 4 weeks, I have just skipped it the last couple of patches, it seems like a pointless complaint.
DQX Localization - This isn't even FFXIV related.
Oh look, I found some threads that I think are pointless. I didn't go into them and berate the OP for starting a discussion, I just decided not to take part in the discussion.

Why would anyone care how you rate or feel about the threads you listed above? I mean that as a genuine question. Who are you?it is important to not let it go forgotten, as that helps the dev's realize it's something we still care about. This topic has been beaten to death since the game started and hardly warrants a new post, so no need to be salty that someone called the OP out on it. SE moderators do it too. The reason for this is to compile the feedback for a certain topic or subject into 1 thread vs 1000 so it is easier for the devs to see feedback. This post/feedback about a topic that already has a HUGE thread about it just creates unnecessary fragmentation of feedback and it is counter productive - especially considering that a good bit of the posts in this thread are going back and forth for why or why not the thread even exists. Sooner or later mods will close it because it's gone off topic.
Should have just left the initial feedback in the appropriate thread. But who am I? This is obviously my first post and I've never been here before.

It wasn't and you missed the point of mine. Your first sentence essentially states that the OP was warranted simply because of all of the pointless posts that are on the forum.
To go back to your other comment, it is totally acceptable to add feedback into an older thread (and SE mods typically ask that we do so) to avoid fragmentation and thousands of posts about a subject/topic when it can all be in 1. Having it on the "front page" is irrelevant because this is a forum, not reddit. It doesn't guarantee that anyone will see it quite honestly, as literally every single comment and post is on the "front page" once the commenter/OP hits "post" or "post quick reply".
"I guess that is what makes you sound like both a toxic player, and one who doesn't understand the forum in its entirety."
That is incorrect.
The post was to illustrate that if you disagree with a discussion topic, you should just not take part in the discussion. That is what I did with the 20 or so posts that I did not find to be worthy of discussion. If other people want to discuss it, all the power to them. Who am I to stop them? The same applies here, we want to discuss this item. Just because that one guy deems it unworthy, doesn't mean it actually is unworthy of discussion. If he has actual counter points to discuss, go ahead. He wasn't doing that.
I have never said anything regards to "front page", that was someone else. That said, necroing threads has rarely been successful here. A few responses of "why necro this" show up, and then everyone ignores it. However, creating a new thread on the same topic has been shown to be very successful. To go back to your other comment, it is totally acceptable to add feedback into an older thread (and SE mods typically ask that we do so) to avoid fragmentation and thousands of posts about a subject/topic when it can all be in 1. While I agree fragmentation is something we want to avoid, i feel there is an acceptable level of fragmentation. If a new topic is made on something discussed previously, but not recently, I do not see that as an issue. It becomes an issue when we have 3-5 posts on the front page on the same topic (something that is far more common than it should be).
Taking my comment out of context and throwing it back at me. Nice one. I stated that because he was talking about knowing how other people are 'slacking'. It's that mentality that suggests toxicity. While he may very well be not a toxic player (and that is why I said he sounds like one, rather than he is one), it gives off that impression. I haven't posted anything in here that implies I am toxic to players in game, at least I don't think I have. If you feel I have, please point it out. Otherwise, I am fairly certain I've been fairly level headed and kept on point on discussion."I guess that is what makes you sound like both a toxic player, and one who doesn't understand the forum in its entirety."
