My friends do not play anywhere near as much as I do, I have almost 600 days of playtime. Most of them are not hardcore players, I enjoy their company. One of those people I play with is my IRL boyfriend.

If they were gone, I would probably stop playing and most likely would keep my sub active since I don't care about $10 per month. I spend 10x that on cable tv that I barely watch.

Lastly, not every one playing this game is a "grown man".

Reading too much of the forums makes me very sad and apathetic.

If that was the intention, but this is actually more an ultimatum than anything.
Totally fine of doing what if you think it's best for you, but going to the forum and using it as your own blogpost is starting to become a bit annoying if anything.

As a grown man myself, video games are to de-stress. But I still like building towards something, Pong doesn't do that for me.

I used to raid a lot and I still do raid in XIV casually but the raiding is mostly for the group dynamics of playing with other people not for any kind of achievement/accomplishment.

    Or insecure.

I have many straight male friends that ask for my opinion of their outfit. Sometimes they make me come on TS for it! I don't think I have any friends that don't care about glamour.

Or it could just be what Ive said it is....that it is simply not enjoyable to me at all. But you can continue to try and psycho analyze me if you want. If some guys get joy out of dressing up female toons in a game so be it, I just know it doesnt do anything for me. Lets get back on point though.

This reads like a wishlist for things that WoW screwed up on delivering:
    - Revamping Itemization usually leads to really really rough waters as math is worked out. Cata trinkets had insane synergy, a single piece of gear amounting to 10-15% increase in DPS for stupid reasons. At a certain level "interesting" stats get mathed out and might as well be the same old stats you knew. I'd say going out of your way to make abilities scale off of certain stats more would be better. Some abilities scale off of Crit, why do none really scale off of Det or Skillspeed in a similar fashion?

    - Well, you're pretty wrong about this one compartively. Dailies and FATEs required for Anima certainly put people out there. Beyond that, making people out in the world isn't terribly important? What is there to do out there, why do you want it there? What this usually amounts to is making things you'll do regularly in-game have an increased travel time, nothing else. Unless you're going to go 'all out' and add a myriad of other reasons to attend atypical hotspots, it's a waste of everyone's time.

    - Diadem, Verminion, Triple Triad, Chocobo Racing, Deep Dungeon, housing. Like, they've adding something fairly substantial with most major patches especially when compared to other MMORPGs. Sure, some of those are flops, but I'd honestly rather them refocus their efforts on making those flops NOT shit and actually good, rather than a never ending list of new things that may or may not just fade into obscurity.

    - "Fluff" content is a byword for stuff you personally don't like. Honestly, I think anyone who wants more of a crunch content like dungeons is a bit outweighed by the very large number of people who just want a butt load of new cosmetics and aesthetics.

    - I agree with this one, but I think it's at ends with the request made 2 prior. You either focus on dev'ing what you have, or add new things, it's really hard to do both.

OK. Sorry I didn't mean to upset you, it's just "As a grown man, playing virtual barbie or dress up does not sound the least bit enjoyable to me" xD Comes across as insecure to me...

That would be a good thing. Didn't anyone watch The Incredibles? "And when everyone is super, no one will be." When everyone can get everything, none of it has any value whatsoever. And thus people like OP find worth in nothing anymore. A perfect utopia of a game where everyone gets everything they want is impossible, and will spell the doom of the game if attempted.
