I think it might be possible to start a FC and purchase a lot, then invite a lvl 1 alt and then transfer the FC to the alt.

Yes that is possible. They'd still need to level the free company to at least rank 6 though which still takes quite a bit of work, especially if trying to do it multiple times for multiple houses.
