WTF the entitlement is real, I'm glad they put it in AT ALL lol. If you don't like it, don't buy it, its optional. It is really stupid that the thing is 18 dollars to begin with. If SE really appreciated the begging for the dress, they would have put it in game and not on the cash shop. It just shows how much money they are getting away with right now. It is you pay 18 dollars for a dress that should be 3 or you are out of luck. I'm sorry but why are the prices so god damn high? It is a virtual dress. I can get a whole map pack in a shooter for 20 dollars because it is worth the amount of content but for one little dress, I have to pay 18 dollars. Just why? This is a complete rip off. The most expensive costumes in games are usually 3 dollars at best. I'm very disappointed.
There definitely feels some air of entitlement here, which is silly. "If SE really appreciated the begging...." seriously?
You think we should get it for free because why? The given price is about the equivalent to the price on the Chinese Mog Station; where it's from. If we were to get it cheaper, it'd be a shitshow with their customers on that side. I can only imagine if we got it for free.

Oh idk because maybe it would be a cool event to have? Why does everything have to be pay on the stupid cash shop? Do you not know how outrageous the price is regardless of which mogstation it is on? No, I don't feel entitled that I should get it free. I said the price is too high and this forum is partially to blame for this cause they throw money at stuff like the moogle mount. How can anyone support this??? I will repeat myself just because people can't seem to read. 18 DOLLARS IS OUTRAGEOUS for this dress. It is downright robbery and it needs to be 3 dollars at most. There definitely feels some air of entitlement here, which is silly. "If SE really appreciated the begging...." seriously?

If I made an item that required 6 months of work to fit all 6 races, and only got 3 dollars per person, I'd be more than furious. You don't understand the type of labor, testing and admin-work that this type of stuff demands. Might seem worthless to you, but you obviously haven't made a 3D outfit before to understand WHY it is priced as such, let alone the fact that CH had it before us too.
♥ Baby, tell me, what's your motive? ♥

If each optional outfit took 6 months in the making I would at least expect the best graphical quality out of it but that's not possible, because we can still find PS2 textures in-game besides the horrible stiffness on the clothes!...If I made an item that required 6 months of work to fit all 6 races, and only got 3 dollars per person, I'd be more than furious. That being said I believe SE is charging too much for optional items inside an old looking game!...
Remake FFXIV once again and give me a 4K experience with everything it deserves (as in beautiful character models with lush physics) and then SE might justify those ridiculous prices on the Mog Shop!...![]()

Re-making the whole game in 4K is not feasible at this point. I've spent enough time working with texture artists to understand just how much time and money such an undertaking would cost. So unless you feel like giving Square Enix a massive cheque to fund the whole thing, most I would expect is an "enhanced" texture pack at some point down the line, if even that.If each optional outfit took 6 months in the making I would at last expect the best graphical quality out of it but that's not possible, because we can still find PS2 textures in-game besides the horrible stiffness on the cloths!...

Besides, the more likely reason the textures are how they are is to keep system requirements as low as possible to keep the game accessible to a much more wider array of computers.
As far as the cash shop outfits, the thing that takes the most time on the models is that fact that it has to be modified potentially 12 times to accommodate the 6 races and the two genders of each. Have you seen how drastically different most chest pieces work on male vs female Roegadyns?
