    I actually had this exact same thought earlier! As others have said though, I don't think this will be implemented as it's not really needed. Retainers have access to jobs so they can use job-specific equipment, but since we can't change the equipment of our Squadrons (yet) there's not much need for them to have access to jobs. If Squadrons really can be used in dungeons in future patches I can definitely see them considering whether they should have access to jobs though, otherwise they'd be locked out of a variety of very important skills (Shield Oath, Regen, The Wanderer's Minuet, etc)

    Its possible but but there are certain skills used by NPCs thatare unlikely to have Jobs that are counterparts to Class and Job skills (War's being the most common, with Steel Cyclone, Overpower and as of Hull Breaker HM, Fell Cleave and Decimate having variants, as well as two versions of Beserk. Another example is BLM with Fire II, Flare and Freeze analogues. Its likely the Devs will use those instead if they want to avoif Jobs for the squadrons

    I hadn't thought about this but I think you're probably right about using analogues rather than the actual ability. I imagine having to develop the Squadrons in a way that each individual unit can have both classes and jobs would probably be very time-consuming as well, so it may be for the best that they do things this way so they can focus on implementing lots of new content for the Squadrons
