Speaking of new jobs, that second boss in Xelphatol made me think we need a class that fights with fans.

Thancred is a bard, he clearly mentioned that several times as well as in 3.4

Thancred is a bard not a Bard. A bard is a storyteller or poet that entertains for money. In fantasy they typically double as spies, rogues and agents of various types (which describes Thancred rather aptly). When he claims to be a bard he is describing the fantasy trope, not the job. If Thancred were a Bard as in the job why did he always use daggers and not a bow?

People have also talked about Raubahn too as Blue Magey.

Nah. He was using 1.0 weapon skills.

As for Alisae, my money is on either Spell Blade or Rune Fencer.

There is nothing Red Mage-ish about Alisaie. She DOES look a lot like a Mystic Knight tho. And that animation reminded me a lot of FF6's Ultima spell... Spellblade, Mystic Knight, hmmm. Check.

almost certain shes teasing a new job, much like how thancred the gladiator decided to go "
oh right i can use two of these now cause ive always been a rogue"

her new attire looks like leather armor to me, could be a new dps mage melee/caster. all suggestions would fit the bill, mystic knight, redmage, rune fencer(though id rather leave rdm out of it, it very well could be this job)
i would honestly not expect them to branch another job off acn but i guess they could.
I think its more like the thancred thing though honestly.

I just had an idea - there's no need to have a new job, maybe it's a Level 4 Limit Break (or new 'break' mechanic) from 4.0? Now that would be an interesting thing to incorporate, the possibility of having LBs that are powered up by other players directly.

Of course, it could be that Arcanist (SMN?) changes in 4.0 to allow the summoning of the powers from other job types without introducing a specific job. That would be rather cumbersome.
