I guess they wanted to make PotD more viable or something.

I wonder if people are getting crappier items, because they a more only running 1-10. Is it possible that better items come in deeper floors? I run all the floors 1-50 and get nice things.

I've done floor 21-30 one night and got minions and a firework. Next night did 31-50 and again got minions, fireworks, and a male top. Then decided to do 1-20 and got a firework and the bustier.

So whether you get what you're actually looking for depends on your luck. Which floors you do are irrelevant, and that's not a good design.

Doesn't seem like it, RNG is RNG. Got the hairstyle on my 18thish sack, with items totalling to 2m gil only running 1-10 and three runs of 11-20.

I'm making so much money from these sacks, I don't know why people are complaining. I've made close to 2mil myself while also pushing towards yet another i235 weapon and earning plenty of tomes.

The only thing SE could have done is make the hairstyle sellable on the MB, then would have be perfect.

Sadly, people love to complain and whine.

I made 3 million gil as well since the patch drop...3 million gil from the first 10 floors of PoTD alone (multiple times of course)

But people will come up with any reason to get angry.

It is just not understandable for me, why something like a new hairstyle (for me) is buried by rng in the worst possible content. If it is necessary to be Potd, why not make it at least buyable for some shards ? I can farm ponys and weapons 24/7, no prob, but If I need to do brainafk content for the most common things ingame and hope Rngesus will grant it, it isn't fun anymore. Especially the "loottable" seems to be terribly huge, so what is the real chance of getting it ? This is just bad game design to make a content, what's neither difficult nor fun, somehow attractive again.

I actually find PotD fun, and hate the extreme primals :x

The problem with a low % RNG is that there will be people for whom acquiring this hairstyle will an impossibility.

A little worried about the effects it'll have on the prices of items long term though, it doesn't seem like a feasible money maker long term due to almost every item in FFXIV seemingly having a far lower demand than supply.

I honestly did not know that they added other stuff like vanity items and minions to PotD so I might actually be compelled to run it now. Don't even care about the hairstyle.
