Weird you like FF14, most people stand around and wait for 2 months and half after a patch is out. My bad ques and ghost town shows that too.

I'm not most people? XD Even this late into the patch cycle I has five minute queues for everything as a machinist, including high level roulette at 1am central. I don't just stand around.
I have tons to do in this game. I'm never bored. Sorry you don't find the game rewarding. I suspect that would be the case no matter what the Team did and please speak for yourself and not most people.
That's what I'm saying too, you aren't like most people and we both agree people here and there didn't like XI. However I played it because it was my very first MMO, but the fact it gave me the great cinematic feeling, epicness and also the fact I felt everytime the same, even when I did a big boss, the thrill of the fight but also the epicnes to it. Sure I was killing the same shit for a while but it was also different fights at different places. I loved that and I know you didn't like it, which is fair, but sorry I really had to say what I said, it's like what you said; you didn't like to sit around waiting for hours, think about those who wait for months then. Which is the idea of this thread as well. The whole waiting part.
Let me tell you this, I'm a player who came back after killing turn 5, 2 and half years ago. In the other thread they explained 7 hours playtime during last 3 days, where 3-4 of them was for quing up wasn't an issue, because there is a patch coming soon and the patch will decrease the wait. If you said what you saying is true, how come players like me have the struggle of getting thing done? Dont bother telling me to be patient, I'm playing an MMO and I expect people to be around and not run away every 2 months.
Edit: I might be wrong but I think you was one of the nice people who told me to wait, which I appreciate, however if it's not bad as people say it is, then I don't know what I'm supose to think. Sure you do things, but what about the others? Like you said, not everyone share the same feeling here, which I do agree on. So I will tell you the same, don't speak for others. but yourself.

That's quite the name you have there Fizzle. lol

HungryHippo, it's quite possibly a problem that has more to do with your server or data center. I know on Malboro queues are generally pretty quick.
I'm waiting for something other than needing to do another tomestone grind. I don't care what game they have to copy from to get it, I have been enjoying a lot of the other content, like trials, potd, and even diadem back when it had people in it.
But I'm more upset that Yoshi decided to blame fans of another game from his own company for not appreciating the blandness of his own. I played ffxi before his changes occured, yet I honestly felt unwelcome in both games at that.

I'm a tank taking over 1 hour and half for Snowcloack, something is terrible wrong. Like I explained in the other thread, about the same for Leviathan. I don't know what to expect anymore, sure I don't agree with everything that the dev's are doing but I think they aren't doing a bad job either. However players like me and this isn't only about me either. it's about the players like me getting told we gotta wait because there is nothing going on and there is plenty to do. Explain to me if there are things to do, how come many people don't follow your example? I'm not saying you are wrong, I'm saying it sounds sketchy, because it's opposite for me here.
Ok, lets not have this break down to name calling and over generalization. That is neither a factually based argument, nor constructive. While I understand why you may feel detracted by MogStation, throwing out random factoids that don't have any factual backing doesn't really lead to a constructive discussion. Most to all MMO companies atm have some form of cash shop, and while I understand how a percentage of people may be detracted by this, not all are. Beyond that each games particular execution of such warrants different discussions.
No, I do get the point. The rest of that paragraph following what you quoted specifically addresses this.
Your example is a bit flawed as well. When the game patches and new content is added, you're never unaware this is going to happen. A more accurate example would be that you chose to do all of that to get your license fully well knowing the next month they would redo the system and the license is no longer valid. However the skills/experience gained from the previous month aren't somehow deleted from your brain. You chose to get the license fully well baring in mind that at some point it would be no longer valid. Do you get mad that you have to renew your license every handful of years?
You're being a tad obtuse with how you're defining 'value' by limiting assigning it strictly to things of material consequence. Personal experience seems to hold no value at all here, so again I'll contest you're ascribing value to the wrong things.
I think the point was made that that could very well be a server population/data center issue. That's not to say SE shouldn't address the issue of low population servers/centers, but that is wholly unrelated to content consumption and repetition of content. I'm not trying to dismiss your point here, just that it's a separate discussion from this particular one, and one that not everyone here experiences.

Different people like different things. I enjoy running content to not only practice and keep myself familiarised with my rotations, I also do it because I just plain enjoy running content. If you were on Marlboro I'd be more than happy to help with whatever you needed.I'm a tank taking over 1 hour and half for Snowcloack, something is terrible wrong. Like I explained in the other thread, about the same for Leviathan. I don't know what to expect anymore, sure I don't agree with everything that the dev's are doing but I think they aren't doing a bad job either.
