Well, thats open to interpritation. Highly pressumptious to assume you can state it as fact that its unreasonable to believe conj can't be WHM. Especially they way things seem to change from one update to the next. I guess I just interperet it differently. Honeslty, I plan to level whatever class is bard anyway (I guess archer), as I have enjoyed bard in several other MMOs.

By that process, it would be unreasonable to thing lancer could be dragoon, mrd being warrior, gladiator being paladin. Those all say to me, extension of the class.

But back on topic. I did NOT say Conjurer CAN'T be White Mage. What I said is that it would be unreasonable to ASSUME this based ONLY on the fact that conjurer currently heals. It may indeed go that way, but there is just as much evidence in the game to suggest that it will go the other way when you look at the question from a different angle.

Because so far, the only reason I've seen for giving White Mage to conjurer is because it has the Curaga and Arise spells.
Which are certainly good points, but they do not make an entire case in and of themselves. The line has been drawn far more vaguely among the magic classes than among the war classes.

Mind you, what would be really ironic is if White Mage set up shop in the Milvaneth Sacrarium with conjurer unlocking it.

I mean, some of what you say, Coglin, I can agree with. But when you throw around "fact" left right and centre, and tell people that they are wrong when we just DON'T know how jobs are going to be, is just a silly thing to do.

Either way, I'm just ranking up both mage classes to choose black mage later on.

I was pointing out that he stated it as fact. I never called anything there a fact. You seem confused on that.

Catapult, I don't consider it attacking someone who has followed me across several threads and making targeted comments, as well as having MY name in ther sig. Nothing says seeking an inflamitory argument with trollish behavior like putting another individuals information in your sig. All I wanted to know was which comment you were refering to, as there are a great many comments made in various interview beyond what they post here, I was not asking what he posted and where. I was very specific in directing my question to you.

I agree. I maxed both casting class, just to be safe. I use to think conjurer would get white mage, until a linkmate showed me the Milvaneth Sacrarium and then I started looking in to it. So many points in the lore, mechanics, and FF series history point to THM getting white mage and CNJ get black mage. CNJ having the heals is a strong point, but not the only point. I still have can't find any strong points for THM getting black mage, no matter how I turn it. We all could be wrong but I doubt it, the data correlates too strongly.

On a side note, I was finishing a quest in the Milvaneth Sacrarium and the NPCS in the back are now carrying THM scepters. They changed this since the last patch.

You are wrong on that. The weapons never changed.

Part of me hates this but part of me can't wait for you to be correct since the healer in our LS flip-flopped to THM so she can be a BLM later. I'm leveling both CNJ and THM. Can't take the risk.

I just dont see how people are getting confused about this when it seems so obvious. Conjurers are attuned to the elementals, while Thaumaturages are attuned to life and death. Thm even has things like dia and banish. Class rebalancing is coming with jobs, so they can easily make thm seem more like a whm.
