I dont think anyone would tolerate a server rollback, especially since people have done alot more than just crazy exp parties. The exp rate even outside of PLing as a whole is messed up, which Yoshi said compounded the problem. I think after the patch 1.19a we can safely expect the rates for ranks 20+ to feel slower.
Notice how he didn't mention anything about a server rollback? All you guys who jumped on it will likely get to keep your precious levels.

Yeah I think they're just gonna have to let what will be alone. There are people completing missions, leveling new jobs, etc. etc. Rolling back the server would result in a lot of unrelated progress being rolled back as well.. which would cause an even greater uproar than the PL'ing itself.
Lesser of two evils, in other words.
I'm just glad to "hear" that they're aware of the issue, that it's not intended, and that it's going to be addressed.
It will be interesting to see how many rage threads are started about "xp being nerfed" and people quitting because of it once that happens. There are people out there who seriously think 1-50 inside of a day is perfectly valid and acceptable and will likely be pretty pissed when they can't do it anymore. I'll have my popcorn ready.
Anyway, I think a number of the people obsessed with getting to level 50 as fast as possible, at whatever cost, are going to be basically running themselves out of the game that much faster. It happens in every MMO, no matter how much content there is waiting for them at level cap. It certainly will be no exception here.
In every MMO, there's a group of players who hit level cap ASAP. They burn through all the content. They get bored. They complain on the forums about "lack of content". They leave for some new MMO. They repeat exactly the same thing all over again.
Meanwhile, those of us taking in the sights, enjoying the content and just enjoying the journey (which is becoming more and more entertaining with each patch they release), will be contentedly making progress and having fun.

I'm sure SE is trying to increase the population rather cut themselves more and increase the bleeding.I'm just glad to "hear" that they're aware of the issue, that it's not intended, and that it's going to be addressed.
