I joined an FC cohort leveling his Lancer in Copperbell as WHM. We land in, say hi, buff, and our tank, DRK in Void Ark gear, ready checks the first mob. Then the second. Then third.

I mention the oddity in FC chat, and my cohort tells the DRK he doesn't need to ready check on trash. DRK then says he has OCD, so we all reassure him we got this. (second DPS was a level 56 DRG btw) DRK is cool about it all and says he's going to do big pulls.

And proceeds to not do any big pulls. XD

Despite that, it goes smoothly, up until the final room where it becomes the dark cave. DRK asks if we can skip the room. How, I wonder, but my spearmen agree.

DRK proceeds to pull EVERYTHING and guns it towards the boss. We chase after him, and he inevitably dies right at the gate (too much to cure spam that sync'd!), and all the mobs just... leave. O.o'

We beat the boss, and DRK remarks this is the best run he'd ever done ever and leaves.


Cohort and I were so confused.

Hullbreaker HM on AST, first boss. When the second coeurl spawned, the bard DCed, while paladin and dragoon completely ignored it. This beast got 10 damage up stacks and was the LAST mob of the fight that died, it eventually hit like a bus and forced me to only heal myself to survive, and thus forcing the paladin to clemency himself to survive.

When I pointed this out after the fight, the dragoon kept silent while the paladin called me a "whiny bitch healer" and told me the coeurl is my problem, not his. Well yeah ._.

Why is this such a big issue to you, exactly? What I do doesn't effect you in the slightest. I don't understand where this bitterness to stalk my posts and make passive aggressive comments comes from. Consider putting that energy into yourself, it sounds like you need to relax and take a break.

I may be leaning in neutral faction because I don't know Selli that well aside from a veteran user that may have an unjustified ban for a single post. But this post was by far made my symhpathy toward Selli, the banned user gone down the drain because you or even Selli? herself made abrupt toxic comments toward another user to just "get lost" because things should just go the way you want it. For the way I intrepret Lunaxia's first post, it was more of a polite way to remind you that it might not be such a good idea for someone to keep posting for someone else because public forums usually aren't allowing such behaviour, even you acknowledge that you don't have many reasons to linger around the forum other than keep updating Selli's words.

The first post reads as "A banned person's getting a voice on the forums? Is this allowed? Why?" and then subsequent posts just further the viewpoint of "This is not acceptable. I should be able to report this." Other peoples' reactions that aren't Kallistra's appear to believe that it came off that way as well.

As melee, I haven't encountered this often since I haven't healed Hullbreaker HM in a while but I definitely have had healers kite the coeurl around which is annoying when I am trying to land hits on it. To be honest I wouldn't have wanted to stay as a healer for this Paladin.

Going off past experience moderating at a different extremely toxic forum, usually when one keeps bringing up/doubling down on the subject, their reasons for bringing up such a subject in the first place usually extend far beyond simple concern for the forum rules. But alas, that's enough of that.

First...what? No idea what you are saying here. I haven't seen anything remotely like what you seem to be implying.

Second, it's not really anyone's place to act like forum moderators or police here, and it's only further derailing the topic to continue like this. It's not an issue that's going to get settled here, or in this manner.

To drag it back on topic... I was doing leveling roulette on an alt yesterday, and got Stone Vigil while in party with a couple of friends. We got a machinist for the other dps. On that first long hall, the one that gets a couple of patrols, my friend went into the side room to deal with three mobs and avoid patrols. The machinist ended up pulling another group and a patrol on top of us. If I'd really been a sprout healer we probably would have wiped, but between divine seal, presence of mind, and a Swiftcast cure II at the right moment, and my DRK friend holding hate on everything and my SMN friend taking advantage to bane everything in sight, we held our own.

Still not sure if the MCH pulled by accident or on purpose. <_<

Ok no problem. Still got almost 15 minutes.

Ok no problem, this isn't a terribly hard fight and I like teaching people mechanics.

As soon as we get our protects up the WAR pulls. Guess we're not saying anything.
DRK dies to Cauterize, gets rezzed, is up and protected for adds.
Forgets Grit, so the Falak is running around cleaving people. Mostly us healers. Wipe.
The WAR says (and I quote) "Drk take the east add. And don't give me '' first time'' bull shit". Proceeds to pull immediately.
I start noticing other issues in the fight.
The WAR who's MTing (uhhh sure) seems to have trouble mitigating damage despite being well geared, and dies to Whisper+Bellow+Bellow (I was already busy spamming Helios in lightspeed to keep the party alive). DRK does not pick up the boss. Lucky for us, Niddy flies away and we have time to get the WAR back up.
DRK OTs with Grit on, playing aggro ping pong.

People get smacked by Hot Wings. People die to Cauterize.
During the add phase the DRK is now actually tanking the Falak. Pulling it to the other mobs, so everybody is getting cleaved. And occasionally losing it anyways.
And oh god the wandering dragon... People were not even trying to dodge it's cleaves. I could just watch as people had their faces torn off. Even I got hit by it once, but that was a "gotta get this heal off or people die" situation.
And every time we wipe the WAR pulls in under 10 seconds of the wall going down.
I think I may have been the only person in there who never died to anything other than a wipe situation. Me and possibly one DPS, hard to keep track.
In the end, people just left. I sighed and left as well once it was just me and a goon.

For a more positive experience, I did EX roulette. The tank was massively undergeared for everyone else, but he still played well, and the party was composed of nice people.
The monk had a bad day apparently, he pulled aggro on Moglin and dropped to about 40 HP. And I just kept on merrily casting my Bio II... And then had a mini heart attack when I noticed it, and panicLustrated him just in time. He also managed to break half the walls in Poqhiraj with one Quasar, but he owned up to his mistake and we all just had a good laugh about it. No deaths or anything like that even. Such a fun run.

Roulette trial gave me Nidhogg as usual in 60% time. 1 new people and after 1 wipe , all quit. I wait alone there for closed instance with Vote Abandon and then try again.
Next is The Crysalis in progress. 100 bonus poetics and only 4 people there, and all quit except me and 1 new dps. I prefer wait than try again and enter against Nidhogg. After 2 minutes replace all and win.

Well, I hope Square nerf Nidhogg in next patch.

God no, Nidhogg is actually pretty easy compared to other content, the so-called "mechanics" are just basic stuff: dodge AOE, turn mobs away from the party, know when to AOE heal. Instead it hits like a truck, but it's still easier than for example the Vault, which has both annoying mechanics and much damage, specially during the final boss. People who fail at FSoF fail at the basics of FFXIV's gameplay in like 90% of the time. Thus I don't see a reason for the fight to get nerfed - but I expect it to be nerfed soon ._.

I queue up for Leveling roulette as SCH. Hold my breath, waiting, waiting for it to load. Is it gonna be Vault again today? Is it? Is it?

Nope! For once, it's Stone Vigil NM!

With... a MCH and NIN pair, the NIN who doesn't put on poison, and a sproutling PLD, wearing white level 38~ gear, not even HQ, and non-HQ level 30~ accessories, with STR wristbands. Also non-HQ. And this PLD is level 41.

I've barely finished summoning Eos when this PLD is running off to do a giant-ass pull of 9-10 mobs. If I were as poorly-geared as this heel, we'd all have wiped. As it was, I almost ran out of MP, Eos almost died to AoEs, and of course I had no time whatsoever to even think about DPSing. Despite the fact that neither NIN nor MCH have any decent, sustainable AoEs at this level, the giant pulls continue.

After we wipe to pulling everything in the hallway towards the first boss, I just snapped. I've had a truly horrible day today, all I wanted was to knock out Leveling roulette so I don't have to do it tomorrow, but nope. Screw it. I'm not carrying some wannabe-50 who thinks that their playstyle should be the exact same regardless of class, level, or party composition.
