Justified kick for defense? Frontlines Shatter

I've gone into PVP a few times as NIN using my Hide at the base and defending and been kicked 4 times now for doing this. I inform the party on what I am doing and if a few people rather me do something else, I do. And no matter what if a crystal is close to the base I do help attack it. I do help players if a team is pushing close to the base. If it's one person complaining and others are encouraging, I do my base strat.
Yet I've still been kicked for this. I've reported all the times this has happened. 3/4 of the GMs I've spoken to have told me how I was kicked unjustly. The last GM had me concerned though. Apparently to this GM it is justified to kick a player for not playing the way you want. The kick button has four options. Harassment, Cheating, AFK, Offline.

Either Fix the kick to include "not playing my way" or actually punish people abusing the kick system. I no longer even want to do PVP if I'll be waiting for over an hour just to be kicked for defending, like a normal team would do. We have bases now, it is not like the old front lines.
"Why wouldn't you defend" I've been told by many players and a GM.

I don't have a ton of experience in shatter, but you really, as a ninja, should not be hiding at your OWN base. If you're using hide, you should be attacking other bases. That's more suited to your role.

That said, the kick may or may not be justified. I can't really tell you. Kicking a player for a difference in play style is apparently justified, however.

Leave the protecting of the base to the tanks. Thats their job. Yours is to sneak and take them.

Well, unlike tanks, I cannot be seen. So if a large party comes, I don't feed, and as soon as they go, I can get it back. If its one person I can easily kill them . And yes I do agree another ninja's job is to take the other bases too. Both styles are good. But when did kick get a new feature of "not playing my way" because my kick feature doesn't have it.

When in Hide it's not like you can take bases like that, you must be out of Hide before able to steal. The only benefit of having a NIN take bases is the quick hide once its taken if you remain unseen

Imagining going into PVP as a ninja and getting kicked for NOT using Hide and defending. its to up in the air. play style has never been a kick able offense. kicking a non dpsing healer isn't justified, a non stance dancing tank isn't. And neither should a hiding or not hiding NIN

I don't want to sound rude, but I don't think staying hidden at your own base can be called actively looking for PvP. I understand what you are trying to do, but if a team shows up to take over the base there is almost nothing you can do as a NIN.
Instead use Hide for walking into enemy bases unnoticed and cap them for your own team. Also your primary role is DPS, you have to deliver damage (obviously) to enemy players and ice. You should help your team out accordingly.

Leave defending bases to tanks, they can usually buy enough time/kill the attacker until backup arrives.
Edit: Basically what Garza said hhh, I should read everything next time.

SO can a hiding NIN buy enough time to kill / wait until back up. even better for ninja since they remain invisible to the other party. A tank getting gang rushed by a party, feeding them points and getting the base taken seems less optimal then a ninja hiding, not feeding, calling out, then waiting. and even if its a tank is better, just it justify a kick? if its a kick for not doing an optimal strat does that mean healers not dpsing can now be kicked since it isnt optimal to the party progressing the fastest way?

Most likely people see you as an afk-er leeching easy tomes without contributing to victory, especially when there's no need for defence or when more dps are needed on crystals etc.

What do you do after calling out the inc? Proceed to stay at base in Hide, recap, repeat? It seems to me that your team thought that you were afking at the base. And I can't blame them, if I saw a DPS on my map staying at one spot for the whole match I would think the same. Go to the ice, hit it, secure more points for your team which is A LOT more important than the ridiculous 2 points per tick from the base. Or even better: do PvP and kill stuff, STEAL 5 points from the enemy team.
