Sadly yes, it seems to work (you dont know how mad I was when they got rid of PvP-ranks on PvP-gear) - but if whining about how everything has to be easy worked, I have that glimpse of hope that saying "Lets draw a line finally, okay?" could help too.
This whole "everyone must have everything"-mentalty is a huge problem with our society, I believe. The current generation (maybe even my generation, I'm 23, already) has been taught that we're all are special snowflakes and if someone has something we dont have we get mad, wether we need that something or not... and thats just so, so wrong >.<
...I'm sorry, I know this isnt the place to discuss problems like that, still, I'm sitting here, studying to become a teacher and saying to myself "damn, that attitude really sucks"

Draw line where? There was a guy in a different thread who sarcastically suggested to get rid of all stats and item level complitly. At first I laughed and then I understood that nothing actually would change (except raids part, which is in agony anyway).

The progression structure is made the way that one can roll in dirt and then bam, 240 ilvl. So there is nowhere to draw line, we are at the bottom.

What is even the point in keeping these items exclusive at this stage? I never see anyone use them, 2.0 has been out for three years now and it doesn't do anything more than reinforce the "special snowflake" attitude amongst veterans. 1.0 is long gone, and expecting preferential treatment and privileges this far on is childish at best.

The ones being childish are demanding things or trying to have things change for no other reason then they WANT it.

What other reason would there be? Is not everything that is implemented in this game there because a majority wants it? The JPN exclusive items were supposed to remain just that, but we ended up with them after a hundred threads demanded EU/ NA get them too. Funny how exclusivity was a terrible thing then, but not here.

Why should items from a game most deemed horrible and not worth there time be rewarded for not playing? I played 1.0 and loved it and I hate with a passion people who bash the version but still demand the items it held. Also anyone was able to buy legacy to get the rewards even if you weren't playing. And we Goobbue mount ingame you just need to do Slyph dailies to get it.

The majority wants gold and diamonds and money too, why should only rich people be able to have those things?

Ruins game experience when the 1.0 people rub mounts in peoples face that can't get them though; if they doing away with veteran rewards because people cannot catch up why should other things be locked behind non existent content and exclusive? Totally unfair based on other things that have been reworked by SE.

if seeing someone with a mount from sticking through the game during it's rough patches ruins your gaming experience, you will not last long.

Play because you think it's fun and not because you think you are self entitled to things people earn through other means.

The whole "everyone gets a trophy for participating" is old and ineffective.

But look at cash shop you can buy item from events people not play during but at least obtainable. Some of us like to collect all minion/mount for collectability.
