Level does not affect drops in any way.
MYTH BUSTED!
I think as population goes up, and contention in that area for bomb ash goes up, and even more so as the need for bomb ash goes up. Then the price will follow suit, and bomb ash will become a potentially expensive levelling resource.Yes i reallize now complianing about the crappy drop rates isn't the best idea in a opening post, you are correct they can be used to farm but there is a quest the also requires you to kill them and with the low server population you can do both but i doubt SE intended for a mob used for a quest to be the prime source of bomb ash more so when it's out of sync (the're all L30 as it's a L30 quest) with the new system, when the servers become more populated ppl farming ash from them is going to get in the way of ppl doing the quest.
but as you have said, there are other locations for it, and whilst you may not be able to farm them yourself if you are a lower DoW level, then you're gonna have to buy it from someone who is.
sometimes you need items with a low supply and high demand to simulate a real economy and stimulate the synthetic one!
i think your missing the point a bit... i can farm i have lvl 50 DoW's. the point is that Bomb ash is an anomaly in the new system i have looked and i am yet to find a Synth mat that is not obtainable from a monster or gathering node of the same level as the lowest of the main recipes it is used in, in this case it's BSM lvl 20-30, so to follow the apparent rule for the new system there would be a group of mobs in the low 20's that will drop Bomb ash, but these apper to be missing.I think as population goes up, and contention in that area for bomb ash goes up, and even more so as the need for bomb ash goes up. this is the issue i'm trying to raise, it could be there is a group of lvl 20 mobs that drop and we just haven found them yet or it could be SE made a mistake and somting is ment to drop and doesn't, or though imo unlikley there isn't ment to be any lvl 20 mobs that drop and this 1 synth is ment to be out of sync with the rest of the system.

Mmmm my linkshell friend found a bomb group outside forgot where but said it drops x3 bomb ash and drop rate being super high so I don't think Bomb ash is gonna be a problem. Forgot the first part of the name but 2nd part was dud? Wandering Dud or something.
If you can get another farmer out there in Nanawa to help you and split the drops, that would be optimal if you can't do these solo.
Really OP, the bombs in Copperbell aren't worth your time unless you're already L50, which I see by your info that you are. They do have about a 5%-10% higher drop rate than Nanawa if I remember right. Take a helper with you there as well, it's so much faster, and you can farm ants for the scales (scale glue) while waiting for bomb repops.
Unfortunately, steel has taken more of a front seat for BS in this patch, it's almost impossible to skip over it now. So if you are stuck in the dreaded 30's, you'll have to just suck it up and farm ash until 36-ish when you can start churning cobalt ingots.
FYI, if you think bomb ash is bad, try getting your hands on some aldgoat horns for any reason.
"You don't stop playing when you get old, you get old when you stop playing!"
Punctuation is your friend. It deliniates the difference between "Let's eat, Grandma!" and "Let's eat Grandma!"
This is what i'm after, it the group exists then the're isn't a anomaly. can you confirm the zone i've looked all over and haven't been able to find.

Steel no longer starts in the 30's it starts in the 20's although my original post was in part complaining about drop rates that wasn't really the issue i was trying to get accross and that seems to over shadowed the point of my orignal post.If you can get another farmer out there in Nanawa to help you and split the drops, that would be optimal if you can't do these solo.

Use the old Iron recipe, they are still aplenty and you get Iron Ore much much much easier now (12 Iron Ore from local leve reward? That's double what it was). You can still make Nugget, you just cant turn Nugget -> Ingot.that is for old player, if you look at the new player who start out and focus on DoH, get those ash will be pain for them, not talk to far but you have 1 here, me. I cant farm for the ash and the market sell for 10k/ash. And tell me to grind a DoW up to r36 is the ridiculous solution you ppl always speak up
although we could use old recipes they will be phased out so that is less then ideal, also what's the point in making the older dated items.
I'm trying to highlight the fact a group of mobs seem to be missing. not where you can get it from as an alterntive or alterntive ways to skill up.
