I JUST HAD ANOTHER IDEA! ADD DICIPLES OF THE LAND AND HAND TO DUTY FINDER PARTY as an OPTION, so we get a complete party!!!

That would compleate the party 6/6 and have backup!!!===6/6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Miners could mine in the dungeons and crafters would um...help somehow! haha

This isn't technically DF but it was mostly random people so I'm counting it. I was helping newcomers run through the coils and teaching them along the way. After a relatively wipe-free time, we came to T9... and with only 3 people who had actually cleared it before, I basically told them to check a guide before we started. We still died a lot. For the first few times, we had troubles with the meteors. One of our number had a few troubles with placement. Then they had a few troubles with the golems and we eventually made it past them as well.

On the second phase we proceeded to start obliterating the boss and then people suddenly folded like cards. It was the fire and ice mechanics that took us to the divebombs which proceeded to finish us again. After taking a minute to address that, we took our final shot at it. Everything went extremely well but we lost a couple members, including myself and it took us to divebombs again.

Now here is the fun part because we did clear on this run. I got a raise right before the divebombs and waited to active it until the divebombs went off, taking out 6 other members of the raid. He was at 2% before this and it left both me and the WHM to finish him. Right as the WHM went down, I cast the finishing spell and the fight was over. All in all it was a tough fight for the group and everyone was glad to have finished it.... And then we reached T11

PLD was my first tank in early 2014. The issues a PLD has at that time is not ensuring to actually flash more than once and using Rage of Halone unless DPS are unloading before the Paladin can do more than Shield Lob +Flash. It's not that hard at that time to maintain aggro in Qarn yet.

Basically, PLD enmity combo is: Fast Blade (2x quick slashes) >> Savage Blade (spinning slash) >> Rage of Halone (5-fold attack with a really noticeable final hit).
You're absolutely right. Not sure why I remembered it as three. That is completely my bad.

Now that I know what Rage of Halone is, I'm in a better position to offer advice. Thank you!
Yeah that's really not enough to ensure aggro hold on all the mobs in my experience. That won't even hold the mobs off the healer. As I'd mentioned, I'd seen a level 56 PLD do that when I leveled NIN and I had switched a lot to make sure I could grab the mobs from chewing the healer's face. I waited until the mobs were pulled, all marks were green. Two attacks and I'd already gotten aggro. Switching targets didn't help much since it only ensured either a) I got aggro on them too or b) he was switching targets but had only used riot blade...

Like I said, it got better the few times he used RoH and flashed more than once at the start of the pull after I mentioned the better combo. Then I inwardly went /huh when I saw he was level 55.

Might be you're thinking of Butcher's Block, WAR's enmity finisher. That's three hits, if memory serves (I may be wrong here, been a long time since I played WAR).

Possible, I've heard it so many times I convinced my brain that the sound I was thinking of for RoH was BB's. When I'd made my post yesterday I was imagining each strike with the sound in my head and somehow convinced myself that it was just three.

I spend most of my time in CS holying or killing things. He doesn't stun the summoners so I'm guessing he wants the added exp... for us since he's 60. Cool.
On the note of Hallowed Ground + Sentinel: This sometimes happens to me. Except the other way around. I use Sentinel when placing down a large pull (and I know I've done this in AK) and then notice I'm still dying too fast and/or the healer isn't healing me (usually happens the latter way, I rarely get overzealous with pulls). So I pop HG on top of Sentinel when I'm really low, so I may end up having both on at the same time. If he used them in that order or immediately overlapping... ????????????

On the note of stunning the summoners: Paladin has kind of a weird stun. It's not a cooldown like the other 2, so it's always available, but as a downside it's a weaponskill, and thus will interrupt any combos that may be going on. Some paladins just stop stunning altogether because of that. My personal solution for that is "Shiled Lob the summoner -> Circle of Scorn everyone else -> stun the summoner". Makes for an awkward start, but hey no demon mobs. Or harriers turning into dragons.
Could be he was letting them spawn for the extra bit of exp, but at this point I'll always be skeptical of that :/ Would be cool if that was the case. But based on what appeared to be his stance on mentoring...

Hmmmm I don't think you can be over i240 at the moment.
    Either way

Yes we do need more tanks in the game, but can we PLEASE have less tanks like these (>QmQ)> A WAR in deliverance has no one to blame but himself if he loses aggro to the first basic unboosted moves of an opener.

I'm just venting, never liked the fact that people could need shit when their ilevel is way higher than the drop they're needing.

Well, glamor is about the only time I'd need on an item that wasn't an upgrade.
If all I'd do with it is turn it in for seals, vendor, or desynthesis it's all greed.

Yeah I have experience with PLD stuns since I was using it while AK was actually relevant through somewhere around Snowcloak.

But he definitely ran through a group popping Hallowed and Sentinel right at the same time, in that order... Completely overlapped as much as you can with what their timers are x.x

PotD floor 21-30 with me (MNK) and 2 other players which came from LS (PLD) and (MCH) along with one pug (BRD)..

At around floor 25ish, Bard used Mage's ballad for whatever reason we may not understand.. We just didn't bother to ask, and it remains as a mystery..
