[DEV REQUEST] Let 1.0 legacy items/tattoo/bonuses be account wide.

Personaly, I think the only way we are going to see tattoo's becomming account-wide is when they add Tattoo's as a feature for all players. I doubt SE is going to take time and funds to do this and we all know that salty players will yell LIAR towards Yoshi-P when he adds such feature.

Heybunny, I hope you get your tattoo's, but I reckon alot of players who do not have them will want those tattoo's aswell, I fear that SE will avoid this like a plague. My advice is to keep requesting for it and if possible ask this question at FanFest. Personaly, I think unless alot and I mean alot of players can make use of this, SE will not make this for the small group who for some reason failed to get theirs.

Thanks for your reply! Looking back, I wish I'd made the focus of my OP to be on the merging of a 1.0 character into a 2.0 character, rather than have them be account-wide. I can't see (and hope they don't) them ever adding the tattoo for everyone, it would demean what 1.0 players did after all and I'd be very much against that, even if I don't currently have one on my main character. I would never be asking for the legacy tattoo if I didn't already earn them on a couple of characters, so if 2.0-only people who didn't play 1.0 at all want it, that wouldn't be very fair for them to expect, in my opinion at least.

Why would you not play your 1.0 character? My "shb" character has all of these things, because it's also my 1.0 character.

If you've specified a character to be a shb character, did you just make a new one and jump pot it?
Just do the same to your legacy character.

There'll never be a way to merge these, your new characters didn't go through the events of 1.0, there's no reason for them to have these things.
It's 2020 people need to start respecting individual lore.

I know this pain, I had something similar happen. I had my legacy character on Balmung...so it was pretty much inaccessible throughout the betas and early release due to like 5+ hour queue times into the server. Sent a message and SEs respone was make a character on a different server, so I figured I'd make a character on a less populated server so I could play with my friends who were getting father ahead of me by the day lol. The new character didn't have the tattoo, and by the time I could actually get onto my legacy character and queue times had calmed down I already was level 50 and in a raid static so at that point with as little play time as I had I was more or less locked to that character. Always wanted to go back to my legacy character, but now there is just to much I'd have to do over that I can't bring myself to do, too many character bound cash shop items/mounts/emotes and too many achievements/raid/glamour items I'd have to get over. It would take years to earn everything on my main on my legacy character so it's just not viable, though I always did hope they'd add a way to fuse my legacy character with my main someday or add a way to get my tattoo over onto my main somehow.

I had a similar situation. I have a 1.0 character with the tattoo, but my wife was not able to create her character on the same server at the time. So, I made a new character on another server with her and the tattoo completely slipped my mind.

I don’t see a good reason why they can’t make the tattoo account wide for people who have a character with it.

As for the lore argument…didn’t they remove the cutscenes that only legacy characters could see?

No they did not.

It's just not every legacy character that gets to see them, you had to complete the grand company storyline.


Even ng+ still has the cutscenes.


Where did you even hear that? Why would they remove them? They aren't extra quests that needed pruning....
