Health and Sports day it seems.
Actually he's right I know two people who tested it...
If I remember correctly the low level was about rank 9. He and the PL wanted to test the patch. He went from Rank 9 to about rank 36 (ish) in about 4 1/2 hours roughly.
Has nothing with 'having a job' it's simple numbers and facts.
I'm just a bun boy, doing bun boy things.
Shit, you can just grab 8 people with level 50s, and switch who PLs every 30 minutes, can go afk for the other 210 minutes.
I'm sure you could get a level 1 job to at the very least 30 in a few hours that way, it's ludicrous.
Fixed that for you.
Why? Because to have an effective character one still has to level crafts to make equipment, grind spiritbond to make materia, DoLs to pull up materia and or farm the gil in order to circumvent any of those activities.
There's still plenty of grinding in this game directly tied to character development.
Just because of that, we should excuse the cheap EXP for DoW/DoM? I don't buy it.Fixed that for you.

So we might as well just abolish character levels then, since there are other things to grind. Forgetting of course that some people don't care to craft, or gather/mine.Fixed that for you.

People supporting the incredible amounts of exp you earn through PL parties are painfully short sighted. I'm fine with PLing in theory, but in FFXI style, where the PL's influence only extended to healing/buffing the party. As things stand right now, you'd damn near be a fool not to PL. Not to mention I can only feel pity for people who don't have 50s, since it seems the established norm is becoming, "Need x amount of people for PL party, must have a level 50."
I hate to beat the long necrotic, dead horse, but they really need to take the good FFXI had, and start running with it. Their new ideas so far leave much to be desired.
I hate to admit it, but this is correct. On Rabanastre, I'd say about 75% of the shouting for parties I see in Uldah are for PL parties. What if I don't want to PL or I don't have a level 50? Think that 25% or less would be on and available and have the level-appropriate classes needed to fulfill the necessary roles to start a party right there and then to grind a beastman stronghold which may or may not be full of PL parties? So we might as well just abolish character levels then, since there are other things to grind. Forgetting of course that some people don't care to craft, or gather/mine.
