Beastmaster: pet class with whip-blunt damage
Enforcer/berserker: viking-like off tank to rival warrior- wields a hammer-blunt damage
Psychic: caster-relies heavily on combos but has a very short cast time compared to the gcd allowing for more movement
I would love to have a Necromancer, but in keeping with SE's homogenization of jobs, it would mostly play like SMN, but with dead things. If I was making necromancer, I would give it an ability to resurrect a fallen enemy and take control of it in battle. (you know how mob is still there for a few seconds after you kill it? That's your window). It would also have a special raise ability that would add a def and attack buff of 20 percent, but at the cost of not being healed, so essentially turning the person you raised into a zombie.
healer .... Geomancer
tank ...... runefencer
most important dps .... samurai

Honestly I'm excited for anything, but I'd really like a ranged DPS class that doesn't feel useless. It would be nice to get a Hunter or Ranger as a job. I've always really liked ranged DPS, but honestly Bard and Machinist feel so lacklustre compared to ranged DPS from other games.

If the're goin to add a Whip user, they need to take lessons from the best.
Animations of Gabriel Belmont- Lords of Shadow
So difficult to not add more, they are all so damn epic.

For those that believe that a DPS RDM with a single sword can't be as epic as DPS SAM.
again Gabriel Belomnt- Lords of Shadow 2 Sword animation (last one i swear)

Is Bard really that bad?Honestly I'm excited for anything, but I'd really like a ranged DPS class that doesn't feel useless. It would be nice to get a Hunter or Ranger as a job. Indeed. While Lords of Shadow was lackluster in a lot of areas, the animations were top notch. If we ever get a whip user, I would definitely want SE to look at how that game for inspiration.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
