But, I will say this here and now, this thread will go the same way as all the others:
POWER LEVELLING IS EVIL
No it isn't
BUT IT BREAKS THE GAME
No, it doesn't
YOU ARE ABUSING AN EXPLOIT
Nope, we aren't
BUT IT BREAKS THE GAME
/sigh

It took some dedication before.
It's understandable that dedication is not the favorite word for the instant gratification society of today.
But now it requires nothing. So you answer me: What do you get out of those 2-3 days that is why you couldn't skip altogether?
Instant gratification? Self righteous much?It took some dedication before.

Can you provide me with an answer or will you just keep dodging the question?
I told you what brings me the feeling of accomplishment- completing an activity that requires dedication, which is something you seem to hate. It seems you on the other hand get something special from having to PL people for 2 days though, so let's put the matter to the rest if you can provide us with an answer.

Just to "self-righteously" quote myself from another thread:
Brilliant, isn't it? So simple and convincing. ^.-/A quick and simple 3-step question:
Wasn't EXP originally designed as an abstract measure of the experience your adventuring character had accumulated during his career? So what are powerleveled characters awarded "experience" points for? Because they get more proficient at auto-following?
Actually, grind parties do take skill, and even moreso now with the introduction of the enemy linking system. But, with this patch, in the same breath that they made grind parties require more skill, they also made that fact irrelevant with powerleveling.
And the most fun I've ever had in gaming were some of my parties in FFXI. So grinding certainly can be fun. MMO's are social games. 90% of the fun comes from the people you play with.
Can you provide me with an answer or will you just keep dodging the question?

You are starting to get on my nerves now with your self righteous holier than thou attitude.
Just because you sit there clicking 123 for 3 hours doesn't give your experience any higher acclaim than mine. I have already done the grind on multiple classes on my main character, as have my friends, and to be honest with you, they don't have a race change option so instead of this I remade as a Lalafell and just want to get back to where I left off on my Elezen. For that, I power level.
New players want to come play with the big boys in endgame, yup, power level is fine too.
People want to boost up alts, or level boring subs they have no intention of playing, no issue with power levelling here.
Players want to power level their mains, go for it. It takes less than a few monsters killed to learn your class, and from then on you adapt to new situations.
Your mindless droning about how you are better than the rest because you are grinding is boring, and comes across as very arrogant.
Uh, grind parties before never really took skill, but with the new linking system you have to actually PAY attention and at least be decent at crowd control. Oh, and have a competent healer. Did a raptor pt in iron lake yesterday and good gawd never have I seen so many people die so many times in one party. "OH 4 LINK!? HERE LET ME DROP CURAGA RIGHT AWAY. OH GAWD THEY'RE ALL ON ME OH GAWD I'M DEAD NOW WHY YA'LL KEEP TURNING THEM" "ugh...cause you fail at healing. and you're wearing Level 1 GC gear..."
yeah...aweful. When we were able to go for long periods without dieing the sp was pretty amazing. Warmonger is amazing btw.
also see above, as the prediction for the threads future is already on repeat number 2.
I wonder what does it take to make you answer my question? What's so fun about PLing for two days that is better than being lvl50 right from the beginning? You seem to hate dedication, and it certainly takes no skill, so it must be something magical. You are starting to get on my nerves now with your self righteous holier than thou attitude.
