You don't have the option to skip the 2-3 days of PL. What do you get out of it exactly? Does it take skill? Does it take dedication? Provide any satisfaction? Wouldn't it be more helpful for your friends if they didn't have to go through that annoying process? The most important option is missing.

Grind parties take skill?

Tell me, how many times have you gone "HELL YEAH THAT WAS THE MOST FUN 3 HOURS OF MY LIFE GRINDING FROM 23-23 and a half!" - I know I can't stand the grind, I do it because I like the rest of the game, that's all.
