Primal Extremes, why so hard to que?

Are these trials just not relevant to a vast number of players anymore or is everyone doing pre-made parties? My entire guild has abandoned the game so I don't have anyone to pre-made que with me to get into them but I will sit in duty finder for hours with no hits. I need these trials for my current Quests but also for mounts. Any pointers on getting in?

If its older primals then you can get a few good men, like 2-3 or more and run UNDERSIZED parties to clear older content, unfortunately there is no system in place to do older content the hard way...so if anyone wants to experience the fight the way there is no incentive thus very hard to get a pt for. So best chance is to get a easy clear through Party Finder by making a mount party that is undersized.

Set up a PF and advertise that you need clears and have a bonus. If it's anything like here you'll be beating them off with sticks.

Most experienced players already did those a long time ago and don't have any incentive to do it again the hard way, so they just run Unsynced PF farm parties to quickly farm up whatever they may actually want from it now (crafting materials, ponies, Orchestrion, Desynthesis fodder).

So the only players queuing for them in DF are mostly newer players that don't know better, plus a handful of Mentors that get pulled in as part of their Mentor Roulette. The result is that even if your DF queue pops, you will probably spend a lot of time wiping, because almost everyone present needs to be taught or learn the fight from scratch. You might clear by the end, or you might have to Vote Abandon (due to dropouts), or just run out of time. That, in turn, further discourages players (both new and veteran) from touching the DF queue for ARR EX Primals.

I think it's much more fun to do the fights sync'd, because most of them are great fights, but if you just want to get it done without a huge time investment, a PF Unsynced party is the solution.

I finally had to go with PF unsynced but at least we can clear instances faster for more chances at ponies but they seem like rare drops. Anyone know their drop rate?

i cleared 2.0 ex primals in DF. Queue ranged from 15 mins to 45 mins as WHM. Most fights we wiped at least once. Some were abandoned after a vote. Garuda was the easiest and was cleared without wiping. Titan was cleared with me dead below.

could also just be the DF. raid finder grouping logic. my friend asked me to Que an in progress GORO Extreme- ((for the love of jeebus i cant think of his name right now lol)) any who- i jumped on tank entered an in-progress Que for said Trial-- nothing happens, besides the usual less then 5 min baloney- all the while im talking to my buddy via voice coms wondering why this silly game wont match me - 15 min later - they give up. this was Duty Finder. few days later - enter raid finder for a8s que as a sub for my friends group and nope- wouldnt pair us after 40min of waiting

Ponys arent anywhere near rare drops anymore. They are so common you only need 2-3 runs to get a whistle. Back in the day you needed 50 runs to maybe even see one dropping.

tbh if you're doing them synced, you will still need people that have at least a rough idea of the fight, they can't be yoloed, and if you df them you will for sure get people that know nothing of the fight.

I sometimes get them in my mentor roulette.
Despite giving a brief explanation of the mechs at the beginning, in Ramuh we still had a tank that never picked up any orbs and voked the boss, so we wiped in about 45 seconds. This happened three times, even tho we "reminded" the tank of what he needed to do.

And shiva still has the sword that needs sharing with the group, and bash which will wipe the group if aimed at them. and the arrows which are instawiped if you even get that far
