I actually do like the idea of having a race with two forms. Perhaps in customization when this race is selected you have to customize for both your "normal" look and your esper form. However then it makes me think we should be able to switch forms at will much like with sheathing or /visor.

It feels like the subject really can bring out a very large jar of delectable gummy worms. While my first instinct is that I'd want to be able to change at will, I'd be very willing to sacrifice that for a sense of character. Immersion vs. convenience and all that.

The separable or augmented customization from the basic to esper form would be a must though...

And the same applies for more customization. If all we get are 20 more flavors of "cute", don't even bother. I know it's the most popular thing and is likely gonna make up the majority of additions, but come on >_<

Miqo'te I can see a little bit more because they're more sexualized, as well as highlanders and fem-roes (hempen chamise, anyone?), but I'd say it's more likely but still not like a given. It's weird to be that people automatically assume it must be sexually motivated. That's creepy as well as pretty immature. XD

I said that because if someone wants to play a non human race like the Moogle Race they're labeled as furry, when they just want to play a non-human looking race the whole time. Sexualization shouldn't even be a thing with this game. We have just about no appeal. Breast sliders are lower than most MMOs and we lack any backside that's yet to be seen, yet players are worrying over this and saying it can be oversexualized? get real. -_-

Did you read the whole thread? People were very off topic taking about future and about how Lalas creeped them out because they looked like children. I thought it was so weird that everyone just took it as given that there was a sexual element there. Why does everything have to be taken that way? It's a video game! I just wanted to challenge that because the entire conversation was really creepy.

To clarify, the proposal I was making was for a unified race of Espers one being born as such, the other being forcibly made as part of immoral genetic/ magitick experiments (the Eikon moniker being taken as the name given to primals by the Empire at large). The appeal I wanted to see was where the original (Espers) would come to accept and recognize the Eikon as unwitting but ultimately innocent people that would be integrated into their society.

The choice given to players then would be to play as an Esper, the larger more feral, wild Aether based race, or the Eikon, Garlean Pure Bloods created people forced to become living weapons. The Eikon would be very similar to what we have seen before...

I read this entire thread, I just didn't take it as you took it. They were making a comparison and I took it as that. Its a good question, why is it not okay to play as a furry creature but its okay to play as "adults" that look like children?
