Thank you! I'll start setting that up tonight I think they've done a good job translating the game controls onto the ps4 but there's definitely still a few things that are a bit more awkward than on PC. Sorry to everyone else for all the off topic posts i've started

One more suggestion - rotate your camera so only Estinien can be seen, face him, and press X. It should target him without any special filters or clicking (this works on objects, too).

And I like having L3 to "target target's target for easy FATE/alliance/silent tank swap/DPS took aggro healing.

Here I have another story.

Just about couple minutes ago, on Wepping City, I have a guy that said " I dont care about mechanics, this is a 24 man raid not savage", and he was being totaly serious.

He was just dieng of anything..you wouldnt imagine how was on final boss with all the dodging.

It was a miracle that we did not wipe on Ozma, this guy put the meteor on same place as the orther of my party memeber. There was an explotion but only couple of the members died.

Sounds to me like that Black Mage needed to be removed from the duty.



You need to set up targetting filters.

They're used with L1 and one of the face buttons.

I have L1+Square as 'allies' which will let me cycle through party members, npcs, and other players with left and right on the dpad.


Character Configuration -> Control -> Filters Tab

Mentor Roulette.. I got into odin as a tank.. Like 4-5 players are new with 2 whms and there's that weird Summoner.. We can't past for more than 50% of odin's hp then one of the whm kept dying from aoes and not fast enough to heal.. WHM felt responsible and left telling the party about dude's lag from dodging.. However in these tries, summoner never even helped raising dead players despite having BLM's lv high enough for swiftcast.. Someone mentioned and asked the SMN about it.. Nah.. Not a word.. He was even using titan egi mostly and change to garuda ocassionally..

Since my co tank got curious about tanking odin, i let him became MT so i have less concentration to deal with sangetaill.. Then i was checking how's the party performing.. I was somewhat very surprised that SMN used mostly tri-bind as an attack follow with physick everytime dude got hurt and less commonly bio, with very very rarely bio II..

Another healer joined in and accidentally died from AoE.. WHM asked SMN to raise since the other WHM doesn't have swiftcast.. I pointed out in the party chat how SMN was performing and SMN spoke a word, "Yes".. I was just.. Very dumbfounded with that word..

In the end, we still clear the duty..

Weapon drawn/sheathed have their own filters.

If you're sheathing and redrawing your weapon after toggling a custom filter it will change to the drawn/sheathed filters.

Unless of course you disable drawn/sheathed filters.
Or possibly, turn off auto sheathing.

I disabled auto sheathe. The filters change on me mid fight. Have filter set to enemies only and somehow get stupid npc allies targeted and filter resets to default everything.

This was a DF that certainly proves your ilv does not equal skill. I went as BRD 208 with a 200 weapon into Sohr Khai, my co-dps also was a BRD with all gear 220-240. We get in and I also realize I had forgotten to get my level 60 skill. Anyway I figure my dps is just going to look terrible in comparison but somehow end up out DPSing the BRD the entire fight. To make it worse (or I guess more hilarious for me) was that during the final boss I was able to run away to pick up the sprites cus no one else was worried about em, kill em and then return to the fight to overtake them again. =/

Not sure why it's doing that.
At least, I don't know of a setting offhand that would cause that...
