    Whats wrong with me @_@;

I would like to see a bridge between where we are now and launch. The solution is to increase the punishment for dying. I want to see huge equipment penalties. Talking 10-30%. This way it incorporates crafters to their former glory, rewards good play and punishes bad.
not only that mega. to start there were also tons more people so there were constant parties going on and more people + faster damage = more repairs needed. i think we would still need a ton of repairs even at the level now, but the lack of people does not allow a good comparison.

I assumed those were LS repair requests, so I always pass them up.
It's both funny and sad to hear that this is not always the case.

I wish such people the best of luck -- both in game and in the real world.

it's funny but i usually have people in my ls putting items up for alot more than other players just because we are like a big family so they help us out. it's bad when you tell someone you won't repair their item unless they lower the offer.

I love this feature. It brings another layer to the game.
It's an incentive for people to craft, and builds dependency in the community.

I really think people should offer more money to the repair. I see people offering 300 gil, 500.. 1000 MAX! for repairing things with Buffalo Leather Spetch, for instance, which would cost you around 2k.

I always offer around 3000 for repairs. I try to be self-sufficient, but it takes time ;P And if you offer 3-5k for repairs, you will not have any problem finding people who will repair. It took like 2 minutes for me to get my weapon, armor and boots repaired all from different people.

So, I think people should give more money. Or else, go to NPC and pay like 100.000 for repairs XD

Well when i see that I see someone who isnt getting their gear repaired any time soon.

Edit: its not an expensive service, but we do expect at a bare minimum compensation for our repair parts.

    exactly
i dont see why people are so cheap when it comes to repairs, ESPECIALY at the higher camps
i mean come on, its 3000 gil, its not gonna hurt them to pay that much(for the easy stuff)
you get that 3k twice over doing a behest and 10 times over on most single leves

While I wouldn't want to see any harsh penalties like xp loss and deleveling, I can agree that lowering durability by around 10-15% after death might encourage more repairing and less biting off more than you can chew.

It might also prevent people from "zerging" once they revive at their homepoint if they were to add a bit extra for dying while weakened.

10-15% might be a bit harsh

id go with 5% instead(compared to the now 1% we get)
while it doesnt seem like much, it can add up really quick if you die enough

Yeah after posting that, I kind of realized that putting "harsh penalties" and "10-15%" was kind of an oxymoron... >.>

Something like 5% on first death, 7% on death while weakened might be better... I dunno, I'm just brainstorming here.

I like repiars, but I think the self sufficant got in the way on that. PPl like the crafters only did it for themselves instead of the community. Which is what skrewed it over a bit. If I could install my game i'd craft so I can repair ppl gear. I like leveling my characters to be a good community person. Like i like lvling higher to help ppl etc. I wish more ppl were like this, it makes playing mmo more fun imo. I typically run by if you pay with mats used or gil for mats. I wouldn't do big price tags or base it of npc (which some ppl admited in doing. I like it adds it add more depth to the game. And gives crafter importance. Personally though I much rather see duribility on death rather over time. Or 1% over say 50-100 uses so its not decreasing to fast.
