Please god no, I don't play an MMO to play with NPCs.

I'd only be okay with it like 10 years from now when this game is dead (if it even is dead by then).

Wasn't the trust system in part used because FFXI did not have enough active players going through leveling and story content? The story content in FFXI was much more difficult compared to FFXIV, which usually required full parties. So, they basically needed these NPCs to help. That is my impression of why Trust NPCs were implemented though.
