You summed up perfectly what is ( in the eyes of many, including myself ) completely wrong with that race design.

Okay, but that doesn't make the opinions of those that like them any less valid. As I said, more flexibility within the character creator really should be what we're asking for here, not a "my way or your way" type schism.
