We need Dwarves with might.. MIGHTY beards as the next race

Yep unfortunately. Me being able to play an interesting looking female character is zero chance when playing a jp game.

Original Au Ra concept arts were very unique and monstrous. It was actually very awesome looking. Wish they stayed more true to their concept arts.

Idk, I really enjoyed my beautiful, delicate-looking female Au Ra. My Miqo is "cute", but way more in the region of tomboyish/spunky, so when I want to feel like a princess I go back to my Ra.

I think the real thing we should be addressing is that if we had more bloody character creator OPTIONS, both your vision of Au Ra and mine would probably be possible.

Yeah it's annoying when you've got the dudes of a race ranging from "Weird and kinda edgy anime-ish" to "Big ol' tough stern looking guy" and the girls are well.. "Pretty girl with horns" to "Kinda weird looking Pretty girl with horns and blue skin!"

Okay, but that doesn't make the opinions of those that like them any less valid. As I said, more flexibility within the character creator really should be what we're asking for here, not a "my way or your way" type schism.

I was only saying that Au'ras should never have been looking like "delicate princesses " in the first place. But Au'ras being what they are now, yes they could add more flexibility by making it the first race with a third tribe. And that tribe could be the awesome menacing one from the concept art.

Square wont add races that they think the community will put in the ugly box. Dont get me wrong, I love to see Dwarves or Beastman type races, but Yoshida said many times that he will only add races with features that the players like the most aka cute characters.

, yup , no tonberry or goblin (albeit a bit tired of them with alex already!) , probably some cute animal+human again
