We need Dwarves with might.. MIGHTY beards as the next race

Lore wise, they could be a weird mutation of Hellsguard Roegadyn which we find when we some day explore the mountains of Abalathia's Spine. The two dwarf clans could look very different from each other, one having human colours and the other having stone colours.

I can see dwarves being implemented in XIV as quite likely (less so as a playable race), because the dev team like their references (matoya and azyz lla being big ones), so perhaps we might find dwarves as an NPC race if nothing else.

No the Lalas are footballs placed in the game for our punting pleasure... Or as like to do from time to time launch them from a cannon

They are the gnomes. The punt-for-fun race, not the swing-an-axe-and-wash-your-beard-in-blood race.
