I really don't want to give SE the impression that Atmas are a welcome repeatable experience we can do over and over again. So you can stop the dramatics.

Not to be that guy, but you suggested 1 alternative. People can disagree with you, and that 1 idea can be bad.

There are many alternatives that are far better than atma and alex, such as poetics, both hunt seals and GC seals. People don't want atma to be relevant again, and neither should they, as I said, I don't know why people are still collecting them as you need an old relic to obtain them, so their relevancy is very questionable. At this point, yo-kai medals would be better than atma as something to trade for umbrite.
