Well you would say that given one of those 'disappointment' threads is yours and you want to keep it going. This thread might be in response to such threads but at least this one is light hearted and has a positive message. Nothing wrong with people making threads to express their like of Yoshi and all the dedication and hard work he has put into recreating this game after the failure of 1.0.

I couldn't care less if my thread died, I've stated my opinion and that's that. I haven't even been bumping it recently. This thread was quite clearly created in direct response to another one, which is why I said it isn't needed. Mine wasn't. Nice try bringing my thread up in order to dig at my comment though.

lame criticisms like blaming SE for that persons wrong expectations despite SE blatantly explaining what to expect beforehand on specific piece of content.

Ah yes, another comment on the tiniest section of my thread, I see you're continuing to ignore the rest of it where I explain exactly what I dislike about the content regardless of my expectations. Cherry picking once more.

You might want to stop referring to everyone as 'hating' SE and everything too. Being disappointed in something is far from hating.

And people wonder why the General Discussion board is so filled with junk topics all talking about the same thing.

One persons junk is another persons treasure and this thread is not talking about the same thing anymore so than saying all threads are talking about the same thing which is the game and it's developers. At least this one has a positive message which expresses an appreciation for Yoshi and his hard work and more people agree with the sentiment in this one than the other based on the amount of likes towards both OP's original comments in each while the other is extremely negative and ridiculous in it's suggestion he should either be fired or leaves and is only kept alive by the fact a lot of people are annoyed by such a suggestion.

Indeed.I do have deep respect for Yoshida-san, he clearly cares about the game and it's community, he's lead a turn around from abject failure to sustained success and endured all manner of insulting comments for the same community he cares so deeply for.

The two main complaints about this thread from the 'haters' of it are using the 'unnecessary' or 'meaningless' excuse but to many people it is not only necessary but it is also very much meaningful. The sentiment expressed by the OP is appreciation of Yoshi and his dedication/hard work, regardless of the motive for creating it...that is the message and sentiment expressed within it. A lot of people are liking that comment because it has meaning to them and a lot of people probably do think positive appreciation of the game and/or it's developers is necessary from time to time. This is just one of those times.

That's fine, but don't pick at the negative threads then. Feedback is 'necessary' and our opinions are meaningful too. It's rather annoying when you quote me and use my thread in examples of hate when from the very beginning I said I don't hate the content, I simply dislike it. I have played this game for nearly 3 years, if I hated it so much I wouldn't be here. I don't know whether you're just misinterpreting my thread or grouping it with the other angry and troll ones but please stop acting like I (and others) hate the game so much.

I really don't want to argue, I'm just defending my opinion of the game because it's upsetting when people automatically assume you hate it simply because of one piece of content and one thread.
