agreed i'd like a tattoo like the level 50 mnk/nin outfit that doesnt require some top to use that can be seen on any outfit or maybe leg tattoosYeah I don't care about that tiny legacy tattoo, I want to be able to get tattos everywhere I want on my char, and huge ones, like full back tattoo, or full torso going up to the neck. That'd be sick but won't happen since it's a final fantasy game and we don't even have butts. Tattoos ? Hell, Playstation limitations duh.
It was actually a bit different. :X It's been awhile, so I had to look up the specifics, but the game launched at the end of 2010 and remained free-to-play until they finally started charging in January of 2012. The legacy status was given to anyone who paid for at least 3 months between January of 2012 - September of 2012.^Yeah.
Any/every character that was transfered from a 1.0 server to ARR was given the back tattoo.
But 'Legacy' status, legacy chocobo, and reduced monthly price were all given only to accounts that bought at least 3 months of worth of Crysta.
Which is something somewhat annoying. You got a month of 1.0 free on purchase as trial. Then you choose how long to remain subscribed via Crysta purchase, and after I think 4-6months(?) the game went free to play. So if you didn't buy the 3 months of crysta during that initial narrow window you were likely SOoL.
I put a lot of playtime into 1.0, but no Legacy status because I only ever bought 2 months at most of crysta, the rest of my play time coming from the free trial month and after 1.0 went FTP. 3 Years since ARR now, buying that one extra month worth of crysta would have saved me money by now ; ;
I remember getting the email about the legacy campaign waaaaay after I had already quit the game, but I took a gamble and paid for 3 months just in case ARR ended up being worthwhile. :X

There was the first 30 days free every MMO have. Then, before the first 30 days ran out, it go extended for other 30 days. Then again for other 30 days. Then for undefined time (until SE think that the quality reached the minimum standard for expecting a fee for the product).
P2P started in january 2012 until end of september with a discount (the amount of discount Legacy players still have).

I agree! The Legacy members complain too much. I'm really sick of their special snowflake attitude, just because they played a game. I'm totally up for tattoos c:!
I am completely alright with a Tattoo system. Just give Legacy members the additional exclusive option of their Legacy Brand, while adding more tattoos for everyone.

Its kinda funny that people keep saying this but its the ones that DONT have the tattoo that have the issues.
