It's a good idea in theory, but my question would be this: if the item goes up on the CS, then how grindy would the in-game content for it be? Probably disproportionate enough to the time and effort that you put into a normal day's work to earn the cash value of the item that it'd be far easier to break open the wallet than actually play the content. It might not start out that way, but it likely wouldn't take long to get there. If se really wanted it bought, all they'd have to do is design it's content in a way that ensures that the content gets abandoned and it gets bought.

A good question, but I do have a rebuttal - is that spelling right? Feel odd writing "butt" - From what I'm reading and have read I don't see any of the CS haters using it if it's ingame, no matter how grindy it is. Since most don't think it'll be that grindy AND some even want it to be hard to get. - This is how it's being expressed or has been expressed- So I don't think having them both in the store and in game will matter. People like me will buy it and others won't. But I might just be to naive honestly. It's a good idea in theory, but my question would be this: if the item goes up on the CS, then how grindy would the in-game content for it be? EDIT: FUCK THE 1000 LIMIT FORREAL! >:C Sorry I had to get that rage out..... stupid limit.
Edit Edit: You know my opinion might be invalid..... Cause of this thought. This game will always be grindy, people need to not worry since even the FORUMS are gated by a grind!

Considering the demand for pigeon tokens and complaints Yokai Watch fates are too grindy, I have to disagree. The argument will simply shift to "they're making this grind impossibly unfair just so we'll buy it!" Mayhaps I'm wrong, but I sincerely doubt most people against the Cash Shop would welcome a massive grind ala Fenrir.A good question, but I do have a rebuttal - is that spelling right? I didn't think about that. Damn... there goes my one defense. On the flip side tho doesn't your point prove mine? That we as players don't want huge grind fest just to unlock silly cool things that we could just buy? Or am I'm looking at this the wrong way?Considering the demand for pigeon tokens and complaints Yokai Watch fates are too grindy, I have to disagree. In a way, yeah. Plenty of players would rather just toss money at the screen if it meant avoiding a massive grind. Granted, like I say below... many will also endure it for something they really want.
That defeats the entire point of a Cash Shop though. If the grind is easy enough, people will simply do that in lieu of paying real money. I'm not going to pay $24 for the Adamantoise mount when I can get it in a month of casual MPG. I might consider it for Fenrir though-- if I had wanted him that badly. Frankly, I'm the type of player who will grind for anything. So if I'm being honest, no matter the silly obstacles or time sinks they put, I'll do them before paying for something on the Mogstation unless it's like $3-5.You do realize that if the fenrir grind was that tedious for most of the people trying to get it, they could just lower the cost and refund the investment by those who already got it, right? Its called a nerf, which this game has plenty of. People use tedious grinds as a defense but grinds can always be altered. People just want a method to acquire it either way, which is honestly fair enough.
And that's why they don't. They know a large portion of their audience will grind for stuff they want. We have proven that time and again, be it the Anima weapon, Yokai or Fenrir.
