But I do not love pokemon, Yo-Kai watch or a likely to happen Disney event when the new kingdom hearts draws near, in my Final Fantasy.

Either SE isn't doing as well financially as they claim to be doing or someone wants more bonuses, cause we have not seen anything in the game indicative of a larger staff or this money being channeled to ffxiv.

I didn't want Hatsune Miku, Sword Art Online, or Fate Stay Night in Mabinogi when they did those crossovers (and actually, Mabinogi is doing the FSN crossover right now), but they came with really cool events and cool rewards.

If you people stopped being so stubborn and stopped complaining about something out of the ordinary once in a while maybe you'd find that you actually enjoy it. If you don't enjoy it, it'll be gone before you know it.

I haven't even noticed the Yo-Kai event. (partly in fact that I haven't been paying attention to it) *shrugs* Advertising is easy to ignore if you stop paying attention to it.

I can see there being a KHIII event fairly easily, I would love it personally, especially if they include glamor like Terra, Aqua, and Vens clothing or keyblade armor and come in with some of the nicer looking weapons from the games

Heartless, Nobodies, Unversed, there are a number of enemies they could use. Also it would be beyond simple to explain world jumping creatures created from the darkness in peoples hearts suddenly appearing in Eorzea, i mean look at dark knight, or warrior, or just general power hungry villians already shown in Eorzea. If done correctly it could actually be pretty amazing. (add high tension as an event music scroll please)

This is fortunately and unfortunately the cost of developing any MMO that has a hefty stream of content coming out at all times. Events like this I welcome as long as they are not over done. Extra money for the development staff to use for focusing on improvements that subscriptions and cash shop alone can't pay for. Plus as an added bonus in this instance, my son just started watching Yo-Kai Watch last week and already loves asking what I am doing in Final Fantasy. Now we can play together for a brief bit and he can see his favorite Yo-Kai.

The event does add some Lore into FF14 world being that while Eorzea and the Garlean Empire believe in Demons and Spirits mostly being just Evil the Doma believe in Yokai which is there version of Demons and Spirits but they can get along with other people.

What about a door to darkness leading to eorzea, meaning that aqua came through that way? but in doing so unleashed heartless onto the world? (not dissimilar to the XIII event)

Sans the Disney stuff, the notion of connected worlds was already done in the XI and XIII crossovers. Heartless as voidsent isn't a huge leap either.

I wasn't "futzing" up anything (i learned a new word today) I was simply expressing the simple fact that things similar to the concept of how heartless are created have already happened, also the dive into the heart is pretty much the 2.0 opening of the game (floating in a void you are spoken to by a directing higher power, shown your enemy, given a weapon to fight them and reach your potential as the chosen hero. You are then woken up to find it was all just a dream, "or was it..? I dunno..")

Tell me the vibes weren't there if you played kingdom hearts XD it's a pretty standard opening but still
