

It will also depend on when the changes are implemented. If they wait too long, people will lose interest.Luckily, they do - they intend to also increase the chances for upgrades on the lower floors. So they do work double:
1) Make going through 1-40 less appalling
2) Make clearing more enticing
How successful that is going to be however will depend on how much the chances increase.
I think if they at least had 1 guaranteed silver chest per floor the issue wouldn't be as bad. The early floors they give em out like candy but when your gear is 20+ they do you no good. Then when you hit floor 30+ you seem to be lucky to even find 1 and even if you do gotta hope it isn't a mimic, blows up in your face or even worse if the upgrade fails anyway.

ive seen it happen couple times black mage had to move two steps to avoid in health aoe n yet just stood there, had a healer never even heal any1 during the whole fight even tho we didnt have a tank... people are ditching after finishing floor 49 aswell because they dont wanna have to reset dungeon.. so i assume people are purposely wiping last boss so they can avoid the penalty for ditching

I believe this, sadly, happened to a friend and I's run earlier. One person begged to be kicked at floor 49, and when no one obliged suddenly a horde of mobs were "pulled" and we wiped. For me, whose finally starting to see the light at the end for potsherds (and really both of us, who actually received good upgrades that run), it was frustrating. We eventually re-qued, but started to suspect our new group to bail/wipe on the later floors because none of them got any upgrades and were quite eager to express their sentiments about their bad luck as time went on. Luckily, they did not.
I am in the same boat. I really just want the mount, but grinding for it has me really close to a Padjal Weapon. Same ratio actually. I can see myself not bothering with it much afterwards unless it's with friends.

No reason this rng cancer should be locked behind current level, blame the system.
Unfortunately, just how that's going to work is still vague, so I'm not holding my breath on that being helpful considering SE's penchant to nerf things that didn't need nerfing while ignoring the real problematic things (see: nerfing anima FATE step and leaving unidentified step untouched). It could simply mean that they're adjusting the floor weights so that your lower upgrades can be gotten more easily, but 25+ is still basically going to be 41-50 only.Luckily, they do - they intend to also increase the chances for upgrades on the lower floors. I think they will need to do a combination of things to prevent this from happening. Chests will have to have some chance of upgrading your gear regardless of level, and all bosses should provide some rank-up. However, too much of a bonus on early floors and that's all people will run since they are so quick to complete with a group. I'd do something like this, floors 1-10 chests would have a 10% chance to increase rank after you're capped and the boss would always give a random rank to either arm or armor. Floors 11-20 would be similar but the chance of a chest upgrade would be bumped to 20%, 21-30 would boost that to 30% and the boss would give a +1 to both arm and armor. Keep the 30% upgrade rate for floors 31-40 but have the boss reward +2 to arm and armor. As for the final boss it should boost both arm and armor by +3.



SE should be jumping on the top of this b4 it gets any worse imo... block any1 found guilt of it for 3 days no deep dungeons problem solved




I had someone leave at the end of floor 49 on my first run because they "didn't get enough silver chests" causing us to disband. I reported the person and the GM told me that it's not a reportable offence
