Has there even been a confirmation this promotion was done this way due to "NA abusing amazon orders?" or is this all just guessing?
I know a guy in south america that is definitely not considered EU.

They won't admit it, its a company, they are never wrong ^^"But now watching how they are messing up big time, and anxiously awaiting the mess they will do in the Nordic countries. I would still claim that SE would by now be better off, admitting defeat, say they experimented with new business forms. And then throw the items up on the Mog Station for a reasonable price, so we can get them after way to long waiting.
People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.
I have this feeling that the other countries in the EU will get the same type of promotion, but only after September/October, which is when the 3rd magazine issue will be sold. Which means we will not have the promotion untill October, this is 5 months after the NA promotion.
How can SE in 2016, fuck up such a promotion?
Agree 100%. I tried googling which stores operate in all 5 countries and it was very difficult finding any. H&M doesn't operate in Iceland does it? I know grocery stores in each country are of different chains, but perhaps there are fast food places like McDonald's in each country. Coolshop (online game store) doesn't seem to have a site for Iceland either. I don't have my hopes up for Amazon because otherwise they would have already given the option for UK players. The only store I could find that might work is Ikea, but they are few and far between. This would mean extra shipping costs for a lot of people.I am concerned about the phrasing "the Nordic territories" as it implies The Nordic is going to share a campaign (otherwise, surely they would have listed the countries), which feels awkward since we are five different countries with five different currencies and eight official languages. And not all are in the EU! So it seems it would be more difficult to arrange than this campaign, and after seeing how poorly thought out it has been I do not have confidence in SE doing any better for us.

Yeah, no H&M in Iceland! Plus their sizes are generally very small, so that would alienate a lot of people, I think. There is no McDonald's on Iceland anymore, they closed down years ago. I thought CDON might work, but it seems they do not ship to Iceland either. So putting the other Nordic countries in the same category as Iceland limits the choices a lot. Ikea is everywhere, I think, but many small things are not sold on their website and there are a lot of size restrictions on what they can send by mail.
Another thing making the Nordic tricky is how the population is spread out; a few large cities, and a lot of countryside without a lot of stores, so online shopping is vital for a campaign for us. I get the impression they have not considered this.
I do wonder, how come they did not do another Amazon promotion? Last time I checked, there is a Amazon UK version. If they want to avoid players from doing what the NA players did, then make it so:
- It does not work on pre-order items.
- When buying a item there is a code attached to it. So when buying a physical item, the code is with that item and digital, the code will be send to you.
- When Amazon has received your payment and you receive the items, you use the code that came with your pre-order to get the promotion items.
If players are returning the items after using the code, make it so the items are non refundable unless the code works aswell.
WIN/WIN

Nitpicker.
So my experience of the event so far....
- Wander around looking for a place that sells this waste of paper.
- Find it and pay the massively overpriced amount.
- Put in the code to get the invalid code response
- Partner gets home and check on the codes she has managed to find.
- Realise they are the same codes (bought in 2 totally different stores)
- Email games master who have no clue what is going on.
Whoever setup this event for EU needs to do better market research...badly....
OK I buckled, I stumbled across the magazine at the train station and needed something to read on the train lol. Got to say it was a pile of rubbish everything reported in magazine was a month out of date i.e what is coming out in 3.3 patch.
Also like to point out the item codes are all wrong mine stated you get Ifrit Mask, 50 Aetherite tokens and MGP Voucher. When you insert code for Aetherite tokens you get 30 x Jandelaine's Token. Which is correct magazine or website ?
I still don't agree with the promotion and feel that Eu players have been pooped on from a great height by a flying Fat Chocobo.
