I really hope this doesn't become popular practice, but I can't blame people too much for doing it as the design of the content encourages that behavior.

Perhaps they can add a guaranteed silver chest after beating the 50th floor boss to avoid this from becoming the norm.

I'm honestly surprised that wasn't already implemented. It's really the way to go; at least you'll get something guaranteed for a full clear, you know?

a guaranteed silver chest that is guaranteed to upgrade the items then yes... but not if it just blows up or has no effect, remove the rng from the boss chests (if they add any) and that would be great.

I'd like this very much, this would at least encourage people to not leave the dungeon prior to the final boss. Other than the sherds, there's not too much incentive to complete it if you had bad luck with silver chests .... especially getting silver chests only for them to fail at upgrading your aetherpool gear at floors 41-49.

This happened to me in my last run where my gear never got upgraded. I was 30/26 at the start and still was by the end of it. While I wasn't expecting to be a full 30/30, I was at least expecting to go up a few points. Very frustrating.
