I never did that relic. All I know from reading (unsure if the story was a 1.0 thing.) Its rumored Shatotto made a bunch of Stardust rods out the remnants of a star she brought down (meteor). The relic Gerot makes are replicas containing the original as base material with the appearance based on records and descriptions he can find. It may be a spiritual successor of sorts to the original but there were also copies out there as well. With that, the statue isn't holding a rod but is a similar object to the top of a Stardust Rod. Heck the Nullstone could even be made out of a meteor fragment as well. Given how Ozma like to spam the thing and its variants its surprising how Shatottos Meteor didn't come from the void.

Rhalgr is depicted as a magi carrying a staff of Bronze and is symbolized by a streaking meteor as his symbol. I'd find it odd Shatotto would make a bunch of staffs to represent Rahglr. Unless the symbolism was applied to her after having created the Blm's soulgem and summoning Meteor. So Shatotto could have been compared to Rahglr and the Meteor symbol is referenced to her. Or having shown such destructive power the meteor was applied to later depictions of Rahglr and replaced his staff.

Is Shatotto shares more with Shantotto than a similar name, then I can see the Rhalgr comparisons as very likely.

Is it possible that the first statue is Cuchulainn himself, before he became a horrible vomit fart demon? In all the legends both in FF and irl Cuchulainn was quite handsome. in FF12 he was a esper tasked with consuming all that is vile and putrid in the world, eventually it consumed him and he turned into what we saw in 12.

Irl while never losing his beauty Cuchulainn was well known for his many vices, including battle rages, which in one instance resulted in the death of his own son.

It's possible - Calofisteri used to be a Mhachi citizen, after all - but so far all the other Ulster Cycle namesakes (Scathach, Ferdiad) have been Voidsent summoned by the Mhachi for the War of the Magi, so I think it's more likely that Cuchulainn falls into that category as well. I wouldn't look too closely at what FFXII did for inspiration; so far, there hasn't been much crossover in how the games have used their characters with shared names.

Just look at how they reinterepreted the Warring Triad. Or how Bahamut, Tiamat, and Nidhogg are children of Shinryu Midgardsormr.

Eh? It'd be a little weird if the Mhach had statues of Allagans about, especially considering their near-mythical status until Coinach.

Other day I noticed that there were actually three statues in the corner of Calofisteri's chamber in the Weeping City.

So unless they're supposed to be Nald'thal as both the twins and as a single entity, I'm kinda doubting it's a depiction of the deity.
