You did. I said that should be the price if they simply put them on the MogStation. Maybe a little more. Basically, I'm saying cut out the whole magazine entirely because it's not only a rip off compared to JP/NA, but I doubt anyone even wants it.

For EU account holders living outside of the UK, this is an absolute nightmare to participate in.
Not only do we have to pay for the magazines that (most of us) don't even want, but also have to pay for shipping, wait for said shipping, and physically own the items needed in order to take a photo. By far the most expensive and worst campaign out of all regions.
Luckily, it's only optional. However, if this is the kind of road the EU division will keep taking, they will never get my "optional" business.
As someone stuck with an EU account after moving to Japan, I'm really sad that the European campaign is so much worse than the Japanese and European ones. I didn't even know that the magazine in question existed and have no interest in buying it.

Glad I'm not the only one who finds the idea of an unknown publication requesting a selfie for game codes invasive and borderline creepy. Why not just stick the same deal the US had on UK Amazon?
Selfie is not required according to the Community Rep. Now it's just a picture of yourself with the codes. Face need not to be in the photo.

Yeah the promotion over here was to buy 28 bottles of certain drinks, each being counted as one point towards a 28 total needed for the grand prize (dammit, I want the chocobo mount!). I don't shop much at 7/11, but if they are at all like the other convenience stores then the price would probably be around 120 yen, putting the total close to 3400 yen. Of course, you could directly convert this amount into $, € or £ and get 32.60, 29.50 and 24.50 for those currencies respectively, but that is highly dependent on exchange rates, and as we have seen since the Brexit these can worsen quite rapidly. In any case the price between regions is, on the whole, comparable. The difference is in the utility of whatever this money is being spent on. Most useful was probably the US promotion, as you had a wide range of choice of what to spend $20 on to get the codes. Next the Japanese promotion, as drinks are generally a useful product, even if the choice of drinks is limited to around 10 different ones, and 7/11s are prolific in most of the country. And then we have this promotion which isn't the best. Especially for me, as I shall have to get the magazines delivered to Japan for extra expense. Just hoping there aren't any import duties to ramp up the cost even further, but as it will be below 10000 yen I think I won't have to pay anything (*fingers crossed*). It's a shame the codes were region locked else I could have just joined in with the 7/11 promotion and had the items ages ago XD.
About the price for the JP promotion: On reddit someone posted that they needed to buy 28 bottles to get everything and 100 Yen for each one. So 2800 Yen for the full set (no idea if this is true or not)
That would make around 24 € or 26$ right now. So it cost a little more than the amazon deal but still cheaper than someone that has to import it from UK and you could buy water that you needed anyway. With this we have to buy a magazine we dont even want to read. And we cant even be sure if they have enough copies.
Mostly because Amazon truly messed that promotion up. Between the unclear requirements and there was the fact you could cancel items and still get the codes. People weren't happy about the latter and did a lot of complaining, but regardless, the NA promotion wasn't even half as mind boggling as the EU one.

That promotion was fixed after the first couple of days however, people would not get the codes till the order had been dispatched. Which was still less time and less effort than waiting 3 months to collect 1 magazine a month.Mostly because Amazon truly messed that promotion up. Further details on these campaigns will be posted at a later date..

As a NA player..... that has the mount and many EU friends, this is disgusting. It is such a weird way to acquire the mount. Sheesh, SE.... what were you thinking?
