Some things in life you have to actually put time and effort in to achieve. Life is also not fair and sometimes it'll take more time and effort from you to reach that goal compared to others. Take not getting this mount as a life lesson.

(I got my ADS mount after about 950 games, I also still queue for PvP because I like it and it's fun)![]()

I refused to change from Immortal Shames until I at least got 100 wins for horse mount...out of 358 matches I have a lowly 73 wins. Meanwhile, I know several people in Mael that have like 120 matches, 100+ wins. I realize the faction always in 3rd place varies from data center to data center, but I do wish the devs would acknowledge there's a huge imbalance in the current system. It doesn't help that most nights the queue times are always 30+ minutes. Pretty much accepted that these mounts are loooooooong time achievements for me and moved on.
Some people ditch their GC and run to Mael, some to Flames. We had people leave Mael/Flames and come to Adders for queue times and they missed their friends, and left. I'm an Adder and I got mine after 600+ wins. (I played more than the necessary 200 wins so I don't know when I got it)I refused to change from Immortal Shames until I at least got 100 wins for horse mount...out of 358 matches I have a lowly 73 wins. My current frontlines performance:
Campaigns: 671
1st: 219 (32.6%)
2nd: 232 (34.5%)
3rd: 214 (31.8%)
I main SMN in everything, but would occasionally go WHM or AST in frontlines if we didn't have a healer. I paid attention to calls and fought proactively (be it marking, coordinating attacks/strategies, etc) to try to win. I have never left Adders. You just have to dig your heels in and go for it, it will mean that much more.

I wouldn't class myself as a pve type of person, but I've been taking part in pve content, and usually having a bit of fun doing it since its release.
Of course the biggest draw for me wasn't the exhilaration of battle and clearing raids. (It might sound silly, but I tend to feel bad when I have to wipe to a3s, especially if the team is doing their best, thus i play healer!) The draw was unique glamour and mounts, which i assume is the case for most people.
The problem i'm having is twofold and perhaps subjective. I'm unable most days of the week in actually raid, specifically since "Raid Finder" has been released, regardless of whether i queue with friends or no. Second, in my personal experience the clear rate for pugs has been absolutely atrocious. An example would be that i'd been trying desperately to get the Monk arms glamour from "Alexander - The Cuff of the Father (Savage)" several times a day throughout its entire content life-cycle, and to check my achievements to see that i'd only ever cleared 25 times is really disheartening.
One might say that i'm just bad at pve and letting my team down, but i'd disagree! I take pride in my ability as a healer in both pve and pvp content, and i always put my all into every game. I'd managed to get the cute necklace from the "Alexander - The Fist of the Son (Savage)" relatively quickly! But when I compare that experience alongside raiders on my server, it's a worlds difference. Of course variables such as content objective and luck of player skill levels are also always at play.
My point is, I don't think i'll live to see myself get the regular Gobwalker, so SE can you at least let me pay you for one? All i want to do is bounce around on a future walker, even if may be mud green looking.
------Edit: To make clear, i'm not asking for these specific achievement rewards to be purchasable but an alternative version/reskin able to be purchasable or obtained through other means. A la Bennu/zu mount, parade-chocobo/white-fat chocobo.
That's what I meant using wolfs marks for them. TypoWhy GC seals? If you could get it for wolfs marks (aka PvP currency) I would be fine with it, I guess. So, that mount requires you to win 200 matches, that would be (without a bonus) 120.000 seals. We would need some tokens to purchase here because our cap is at 20.000 atm - but that sounds like something thats more reasonable then putting it on the Mog-Station. This is a PvP-reward - why not keep it as one? (and no, I dont accept "because I dont want to PvP but I want your shinies!" as an answer)
That shouldn't be much of an issue. They could introduce an item that cost 50k . So to buy , shall we say the ADS mount it will require you to obtain 10 of those 50k items. Like I mentioned before would be good if all mounts where introduced under the usage of wolf Marks. I honestly wouldn't mind paying a good amount of wolf mark for mounts . At least I have the goal without needing the wins
I did chuckle, but surely you must see that you're comparing apples and oranges.I wouldn't class myself as a pve type of person, but I've been taking part in pve content, and usually having a bit of fun doing it since its release.

The problem lies in content that is created as accessible to everyone being rendered near inaccessible through the divisive nature of its foundation, i.e the faction system. But also due to the divisive notion of our communities to just switch factions if things aren't working out, which only leads to a further imbalance all round, but specifically towards factions that are unpopular or perceived as 'not as good'. Of course, this is highly subject to variables such as data-center and timezone you play in.
This isn't the scripted learning environment of endgame raiding where high levels of joint communication and player skill are a requirement for groups and the constant pruning of members is commonplace, the reason why raidfinder has been so unpopular.
