Wow! Maybe you should go back to the very first page the very first post because no where in there does it mention just healers I responded as a whole. While your at it go back to forum rules because it says to not stray off subject to avoid confusion.http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...=1#post3773351
your first post here. you didnt even mention rewarding healers who dps.

two things; you replied to something mid edit, so you may wanna go back and look again, and two, regardless of what you think, someone who DOES MORE THEN ANOTHER PERSON should be rewarded. now instead of dancing around it, just answer the question directly, what is wrong with rewarding healers(or dps/tanks) who do more then their listed job?
If I were to answer this it would be against forum rules if you want to discuss this question you are suppose to start a new thread to avoid confusion. Although it doesn't mean I'm going to answer it, & you may want to be careful how you address it because that might be breaking the rules also.two things; you replied to something mid edit, so you may wanna go back and look again, and two, regardless of what you think, someone who DOES MORE THEN ANOTHER PERSON should be rewarded. now instead of dancing around it, just answer the question directly, what is wrong with rewarding healers(or dps/tanks) who do more then their listed job?

so its against the rules to answer something you said you already answered, but was called out on.If I were to answer this it would be against forum rules if you want to discuss this question you are suppose to start a new thread to avoid confusion. Honestly the way I see it, if you have to put something in the game to give everyone a reason to "care"... Then that content is either boring or needs adjustment. This is assuming you mean laziness when you say "care". Tome grinding in large part destroys dungeon running, since dungeons don't have any degree of randomness, x-factor, or diverging pathways... It's obvious they will get boring and people will get lazy. I can only think of .hack games when I say this. You throw 3 words together and every dungeon will be different, sometimes harder and sometimes easier. Rewards will vary. There is nothing like that in this game. Its all scripted, your 30th time through a dungeon is obviously going to be a faceroll assuming you don't hate the dungeon already by then. I came back recently and the expert roulette already makes me sigh. The reason EX fights work so well is because every encounter will be different and be a unique struggle of its own, well that and BGH.
If by "care" you mean git gud... We could give SE ideas all day but in reality, there are two types of players in this game... The ones that want to improve and maximize their gameplay, and the ones that are just here to enjoy the game on their own terms. Incentive is not going to help people improve, they need 1on1 guidance with people who are very experienced in the same role they are playing. The mentor system could be filling this role but a chat box is not going to do it, there needs to literally be a 1on1 practice dungeon to que for where a mentor and a sprout can get together and actually communicate and fight alongside each other to see performance differences first hand. The mentor system needs an apprentice system alongside it where a sprout or ANYONE 1-60 really who wants some role guidance can seek apprenticeship from a mentor.
The latter gamers are largely playing this game for fun only or are just to prideful. There really is nothing you can do unless they are willing, simple as that.
Welp, I rambled...![]()

Post 213 this page if your going to quote me do it right, I said I answered the question as a whole not just healers. Which is what the original post was. Stop your trolling please, I'm going to put you on ignore & I hope you do the same because clearly you gotta do someone else's dirty work for them, we are clearly never going to come to a resolution on this, & we are clearly going to continue to butt heads & argue which is not constructive at all. Have a lovely day/night.
Guys, just chill and wait until 4.0 to read all those threads about buffing the new classes, then we talk about how fair would be a system that rewards players by their dps numbers.
God this is atrocious. I always dps as much as I safely can as a healer and never have I ran into this. Am I incredibly lucky or is it you who is the opposite? You might get kicked out as I almost got kicked out (Tank and DPS refused to do their Job when I would enter Cleric Stance)
So it is up to Yoshida to include Healer Damage into Dungeons and Raids (and those who're willing to do will do so) to get rid of that Attitude most Players have currently against Healers.
Yep...
Uhm, like I said in the Duty Finder Thread in this Section, I have the Luck running into those People for some Reason, Six times the entire last Week.
I'm not even sure if this is a Part of the Topic though as I see someone saying "Whats wrong with Rewarding Heals who do DPS"? I just posted that Picture.
Wow, this is a new low lol.You might get kicked out as I almost got kicked out (Tank and DPS refused to do their Job when I would enter Cleric Stance)
