I don't do this, but I know people who do. They do it to make the queues shorter, which is fair enough if you're gonna use auto translate.
I don't have a problem with people that do it unless they refuse to use auto translate, just rude not to IMO.

I agree with the hi/bye thing. I play on an NA server and I always at least greet people at the start of a run. I also tend to say something like "good job" or "thank you" at the end.

If I were playing on a Japanese data center, I would probably make a pair of auto-translate macros for this, since while I don't understand Japanese I would be all but forced to queue with J enabled in language settings in order to not have absurdly long queue times.

Dancer is a physical hybrid melee/range class, not a true ranged class. I love it.

    1. Because I can't speak nor understand french, and they usually don't or refuse to speak english.
    2. Because 90% of the french players I've been in a group with are terrible players. (no offence, I know there are good frenchies out there too :P)

    Sooo ya :3
I know this post comes from page 1, but I can't get over the irony when I see that the selected world for that player is Moogle, the "unofficial french server".

I think this is possibly the best attitude to take on the situation. Especially to prevent issues like this:

I'm sorry, but that was just rude of that person.

Rude? Nearly every team I get speaks English, and in most cases, they deliberately remain silent the whole time. One time, I even got vote kicked out of an instance simply because I typed a few sentences. I'd take a real reason for being silent towards me, than a stupid one, any day.

I honestly don't care what the player speaks, be it purely foreign to my eyes or in broken English. It has nothing to do with the player's actual skill.
