Deep Dungeon - Who Will You Take?

Well I would imagine if they can go with 3 dps and be fine, 3 dps and a healer should be golden right? I just really hope they throw some 16-bit music or themes in there while we do it or at least the original fanfare music for victory. :3

I'm pretty sure I'll be going in with the traditional 2 DPS, 1 Healer and Tank setup with my FC. However I'd love to try a 3 DPS and 1 Healer setup!

Doing it solo (WHM) and duo with my bf (probably SCH/PLD). Possibly trio (WAR/SCH/SMN) if our friend subs again.

On topic:
I am guessing the reason we could reach 30 floor so fast in a group could be that each floor enemy level are fixed to that level so going into that certain floor at a high Deep Dungeon level would allow players to blaze through it easily unless their level are more par with the floor.

I may be confusing what you're saying but you start at level one, as in character level one & not dungeon floor one! You can enter as a i245 über-killer but you'll be completely stripped of everything as if you were just arriving off the boat, no skills above lvl1 or anything!

Look at it as if it's a completely new game that runs inside FFXIV. Once you reach high enough you can bring gear back into the normal game but it's still not clear whether they're glamour or of real use.

Later, I'd like to go with my FC. They're all mostly new players, so it's something we can enjoy together as well.

Alos I have an important question for the devs: You say it can be challenged solo. . . I main MCH, the only job that can't heal itself, STILL. . . How will I handle soloing?

My girlfriend and I were looking at this as something we can do together. We may go PLD x AST, or depending on how easy it ends up being, we'll go PLD x BLM. I'm not sure if I'll solo it yet or not. It depends on how lackluster the rewards are.

I recall them mentioning lowering their cooldown with Deep Dungeon in mind. Even then that might not be enough if you can't burst down groups fast enough, at that point it would become difficult for most DPS, though.

Deep Dungeon Level is not Deep Dungeon Floors as Deep Dungeon Level is the character's level in Deep Dungeon and Deep Dungeon Floor is the Floor level of the Dungeon.

Short version:
Deep Dungeon level = Character's Level they have in Deep Dungeon

Deep Dungeon Floor = Character's Floor they are in Deep Dungeon

So if a Player enters Deep Dungeon Floor 1 as a Deep Dungeon Level 40, he or she can easily blaze through Deep Dungeon Floor 1 since they are over leveled for the place by 39 Deep Dungeon Levels.

Funny thing is they also showed a "Save Slot" in a way so seems we can start over at level 1 any time.
