So much this. Not only that, but they supply me with all the many mats I need to do my crafting scrips each week.

I'm a little late to this conversation, but I'm going to throw my 2 cents in anyway.
I only have 2 retainers, but I'm maxed on my GC rank so I have all the options for seals that are currently available. Between the seals you get from roulettes, turning in gear, turning in crafted/gathered items for GC seals and occasional FATEs if I'm leveling a DPS job, I end up with enough GC seals that I often buy half or full stacks of crafting items to give to FC mates just to have something to use them on. A rate of 200 GC seals per venture seems very reasonable considering how many ways to get seals there are.
I don't remember seeing NightHawky2010 mention what their GC rank is, but it would seem that perhaps they haven't ranked up much and can't turn in gear if 4 ventures a day (800 GC seals per day) isn't sustainable. Perhaps they don't play very often, though if that's the case, their retainers aren't going out very often either.
Well, other arguments aside, it costs 20 Allied seals to buy 5 ventures and 200 GC Seals to buy 1. That is fairly disproportionate, and makes GC seals relatively expensive. So I see the point being made. If you just do the basic daily hunt bills in ARR areas you can acquire (IIRC) 64 Allied seals a day, plus the 100 you can get for your Elite mark. That's 15 ventures a day just on daily marks, with another 25 (not 20 as my erroneous math had it earlier) coming from an elite mark, and the 'change' from your daily seals will nab you another 5 each week. So you can potentially get 125-130 seals just from doing your regular and elite hunt bills in ARR content. That is a far easier task than obtaining 125 ventures via GC seals, you'd need 3000 GC seals every day to match the ventures you can get with allied seals.
Indeed. When I clicked on the topic I thought we would see a comparison of the number of seals to obtain ventures, because ventures are cheap when buying with allied seals but a bit more expensive when sinking 200 GC seals per venture...

200 seals is nothing. It's fine how it is.
Difference being, allied seals are something you have to actually go out of your way to obtain. GC seals are accumulated by barely trying.

Sorry, you have to be kidding, the basic hunt bills are easy, and you're not exactly going out of your way since you can be doing the basic marks while running FATE and waiting (if DPS) for a DR/DF Q to pop.

That's a good point. I think that the price difference has to do with the effort and chance involved in finding your hunt marks vs how little effort is required to get GC seals.Well, other arguments aside, it costs 20 Allied seals to buy 5 ventures and 200 GC Seals to buy 1. (Snipped because of silly character limit).
If you have a hunt linkshell, then it's probably the more efficient method.

I have four retainers I send out on quick explorations at least 3-4x a day. More on weekends. I never have a problem with running low on ventures or the cost of purchasing them through the GC. What else am I going to spend them on?
Now, mind you, I run roulette dungeons almost everyday and greed on anything and everything I can. Most of the time no one wants the gear so I typically get it. My retainers also bring back plenty of items I can turn in for seals too with the GC. Once I get close to 50K seals, I buy 99 ventures which drops me to about 29Kish and then I build that back up in about a couple weeks. On average, I have about 300-400 ventures on me.
I've never come across any issues with the price tag - I guess I don't see what the problem is here... 200 seals per 1 venture is not an issue - leave it as is.

I'm a mostly-crafter, and find no issue with 200 GC per venture. Only recently, now that my crafters all hit 60, that I might be running low on ventures, but I've never had a problem keeping up just doing my normal stuff. I do maybe one or two hunt targets a week so I had no idea you could even get ventures from that lol!
I do ventures across 8 retainers and I have 25k+ seals.
