    If the issue is casters (but apparently not bow and gun casters) doing damage too safely from range, why not just have a status on the ice that reduces all damage based on range from the target. Closer to the target = more damage. You can sit back safely, but you'll do less damage. You can move in to gain damage.

    This means there will be little to no time left for making a comeback. It is annoying getting 2v1'd at the end, but there are strats to avoid losing a lead, and at the same time, this can allow for second or third to come back.

    The solution is to remove the GC restriction. This will fix the long queue times some skewed GCs have and it will spread out the organized teams among each team randomly.

    The only thing I can see SE being legitimately afraid of for removing GC requirements is Win Trading in 24 mans. Lore is a stupid excuse IMO when it has such a negative effect on player experience.

    Even so, the net benefit of removing GC restrictions should be positive with respect to queue times, skill imbalance and maybe even toxicity.

    they have outright said that they keep it in for lore-based reasons. it has literally nothing to do with issues of impropriety.

    Weird how you guys are deciding to gut the only part of the game that didn't involve just chasing around crystals. Deciding to cut the only time of the game with actual pvp, sigh.

    Also a point I saw someone else make, you mention ranged being too strong while only nerfing Black Mages and Summoners, I guess everyone will just switch to Bards and MCH now. A change like this makes it clear that all these changes are just poorly thought out or just weak attempts at putting on bandaids and hoping it works.

    Seriously just scrap Grand Companies limitations, it is something that just doesn't work and can't be fixed. SE scrapped 1.0 because it was just bad, the same should happen to current frontlines. PVP Reborn please.

    I think that might be to help players get at least one Allagan Drone mount more easily. They also use the same mount models for the Primal mounts an the Amazon promotion, does that mena they don;t care about raiders or their promotions?

    yeah one of the amazing things is the complete obliviousness to how it will affect interest in caster jobs. do the devs really think this won't affect how players treat other players who still queue on casters? good luck to those guys because they are gonna be the new scorn of entire alliances.

    SE needs to get real about how they approach pvp. i've complained a lot over the past 2-3 years but we are entering some territory that is beyond mind boggling.
