So I was thinking... The tomeliths are incredibly lame... I'm not entirely against PvE elements in objective based PvP, but the tomeliths aren't even PvE, they're just stationary objects that put up no fight... At least the nodes in Secure did something, it wasn't massive but I could get some new PvP tactics out of them on occasion (CCing people so they ate multiple AoEs from the drones, for example), I'd have preferred PvE in PvP to have expanded more down that route... Really, PvE should make the PvP more dangerous, and the tomeliths just do not achieve that at all... I almost think they should, instead of just out right reducing magical damage (a lame adjustment that doesn't even address half the Jobs it's meant to, and negatively impacts a couple of Jobs that recently required buffs, good Job SE...), make it so the tomeliths have special effects that dictate the flow of battle somewhat... One spawns with magic immunity, so your mages focus on taking out enemy melee. Another spawns with damage reflect, so you make sure you have a healer/aren't going to get picked off by an enemy/pick off enemies taking extra damage from attacking the node. Perhaps another throws out AoEs that freeze players... Stuff like that would make them far more interesting as PvE elements, you'd still need to kill them, but you can do more things with PvP like that... It wouldn't be a fairly mindless zerg-rush to kill the tomelith, not for everyone at least, you'd have to assess the situation and change plan accordingly...
Rewards seriously need to be looked at as well... Mode-specific Achievements funnels people into Shatter, and Wolf Marks being fairly lackluster to begin with, and a daily reward off the Roulette anyway, doesn't help matters... If I actively wanted Wolf Marks (rather than just noticing I'm capping them and cashing in on stuff I don't even really need anyway), and the Roulette gave me Wolf Marks all day long, I'd be using the Roulette all day long and all forms of Frontlines could potentially be viable... Honestly, we have Mentor Roulette specific rewards, why the hell don't we have PvP Roulette specific ones? I've been sick of this flavor of the month system since Slaughter, why has nothing been done about reviving the old modes? The current Achievements actively have us going the other way, forcing us into a single mode... I miss Seize and I miss Secure...

I hate this mode. It's convincing people to play like a caravan, traveling on the hills for ices instead of actually doing PvP.
