Limit Plots buyable

I had this idea to limit the amount of plots you buy to one per server per service account. This would cut down on the amount that people buy at once giving others a chance to buy one for themself. Plus it would stop the reselling of plots which as we all know has become an issue.

And I know a couple who share the cost of an account that live together, but they're always playing at seperate times, and they're both interested in different plots. So why should SE limit them? Also what you suggested has been suggested before.

It'd solve a LOT more issues if they made specific wards for FC housing only.

Shouldn't be sharing an account. Expectation is one account to one person. SE should limit accounts to one plot per account per server.

Honestly, there's still too many people who want houses. Yes, this would potentially eliminate scalpers, but the demand still exceeds the supply. Remember how Balmung sold out in like 20 minutes or whatever? There was still like a queue of 2000 people trying to log in then. 720 (or whatever the amount was, it was around there if I recall correctly) new plots will not satisfy an entire server full of people + 2000 trying to log in. Sure, some of them are scalpers, but do you really think the people who wanted a house for themselves among that entire server capacity + 2000 is less than 720?

Unfortunately if two players are sharing a service account they are in breach of the ToS so SE isn't likely to take them into consideration for anything.

What the OP suggests would be the single biggest solution for housing, short of adding enough wards for everyone. It's been a common suggestion since personal housing first came out and I really don't know why SE is dragging their feet on it. It would free up a LOT of plots and would drastically reduce the ability of the 'housing mafia' on some servers to buy out all the houses just to resell them.

This should apply to FC's as well. One house per FC. There's an FC that owns half of the houses in a ward on my server >:T

What I would have liked to see them do was:

Make the main wards for FC's and the sub-wards for personal. In theory if they implemented this now, they could grandfather anyone with a personal on a primary ward into their existing plot. If they end up losing the property then it goes back up for sale for FC's only.

Additionally, I 100% agree with the 1 personal house/1FC house per account per server idea. While it wouldn't be enough for everyone it would have eased some of the strain between the times they add new wards/sub-wards. Again, in theory this would be easy enough to grandfather players into. If you have multiple houses on alts on the same account/server and you lose one (decay timer) you can't get another on that toon.
