Allow Crafters and FC's to Build their own houses.

Other MMO's do it. Why can't this one? You could find an instanced space somewhere out in the world, wouldn't have to be in the current wards, and start working on a house. It'd have to be really hard to build and require many materials, similar to a lot of FC projects, Only on a larger scale. Of course I know SE actually has to fix the housing situation by doing instanced housing, but I want an opinion on this idea

Actually, I do like this.

There seems to be quite a few abandoned homes/shacks out in the open world that they could allow players to access and restore on their own.

Monster presence could be a issue, since no one is guarding the area like the housing wards, but it's a option xD

Would love to claim a huge area as my own like Rift offers in abundance.

I wouldn't say it would have to take excessive materials, why is that always somehow related to "hard" or even fun for that matter??

I would prefer a creative ui so we need to design the home from the ground up..brick by brick, stone by stone , to create 100% unique zones/homes.
I would adore being able to actually build my ideas and would love to see every other players ideas too, THAT (and only that) is creative, and fun imo...

I would rather a time consuming way to actually build (complete ui overhaul) rather then making gathering a bazillion walnut lumber as the only "thought" or "work" going into the creation of it.

Please let US create SE??... not how we do it now with the workshop...I mean brick by brick..where ever I see fit to lay it ,would be a huge advancement for the housing design in the game.

While this a wonderful dream, I must point out that it simply isn't practical.

How many bricks do you think it'd take to build a house? Even if it's only a few hundred, that's hundreds of objects that need their position and orientation recorded in three dimensions - as many or more than the total number of exterior items allowed per ward. Now multiply that by thirty for the number of houses in a housing area.

SE goes on about server limitations a lot but for once it really is justified.

I have to concur with you...its hard enough to make a house the way it is, but to try and build it so custom...I'd suggest playing Minecraft at that point.

not sure what that means. like you can take the ruins West of Tailfeather where there's an Aevis FATE and turn that into a house but only for an instance of your character?

it sounds like you want housing wards that are not really housing wards. could be a good idea if done right but it seems like they are very far from being able to do it.
