I agree with what the others have said. The monsters pre-patch were off balance - we were all killing things up to 10 levels above us just to get decent skill points. Well, after this patch, forget that entire concept. The monsters levels have just been adjusted, and they didn't forget to adjust the experience points values to go along with that change. Killing a mob that is your own level, or even a few levels below your level, used to be lousy sp, but now you get very good exp from those same mobs.

The same goes for leves - we used to have to bump up the difficulty to 5 stars just to get normal good sp. Now doing a leve with the monsters set to no higher than your own level yields a much more balanced amount of exp than before.

Gear matters much more now - make sure you have gear appropriate for your level and class. The changes to gear have made many pieces useless to many classes even though you can still equip the items. They made it very clear which items will benefit you on your current class so it is easy to see if you need to upgrade/change gear.
