It kind of was if it being up for too long caused drop in dps and debuffs?
Theres plenty of teams where it wouldn't be a problem but low-mid quality df teams it causes almost every failure to make the check I've seen so yes the kill order is the problem.

If the team is low quality them you probably arn't getting past it period no matter the kill order because the team is the problem. It being in DF doesn't excuse it from being the actual problem.

This is actually one from a while ago when I was trying to level other DPS classes and joined in Copperbell Mines, and I have the utmost respect for the healer that put up with dealing with the extra mobs. I can't remember the class I was in as but we had a Marauder as a tank and... To put it bluntly he stunk. He was only doing single-hit combos on one enemy at a time. No Overpower, no Flash, no switching to other targets, not even cooldowns. Unsurprisingly he kept losing hate whenever the healer healed and Me and the other dps kept pulling them off the healer. This is the sad thing... we wiped on the first boss because of what this guy was doing. Soon after he was given the boot and a more competent tank came in.

The healer was the only one constant dieing on all bosses. All the remaining 7 party members were doing write fine, but he not. I just asked him to concentrate a bit more.

Also during the the raid, for the way he was talking and behaving the looked like someome of " I have full experience here". Well despite his "experiences" he seem to be the only one dieing :/

My recent duty finder horror story is one that was entirely my fault.
The first I did Weeping City, I didn't do well. I didn't know the mechanics and didn't use my full toolset. Although we cleared it, I felt like I was being carried.
So I went in a few more times to understand the fights and get better.

This week I did it again, with the same people I went with last time. I was confident everything would go very well!

Ozma was going especially well and had maybe 10% HP left, when suddenly...
    My internet died.
It came back on in about 2 minutes. And I logged back in. Just to discover everyone had died. I was shocked because until then only 1 person on our team had died. (Although another alliance was having some trouble.)

I felt so bad because I had no idea what happened. I apologized and everyone forgave me and said it wasn't my fault. But still...

Then at the final boss, everything was going well until...
Skype suddenly decided to open itself up and log me in! (The program wasn't even running before.)
And it made the FFXIV window all weird and I couldn't click on anything. I quickly shut down the game and reopened it.

Just to discover my entire group and most of the other alliance members were dead. Until then also, we only had 1 death.
The other alliance teams's healers didn't try to revive anyone in our group, for the rest of the fight, so we just laid there and watched the remaining 6 or so people finish off the boss.

I was so sad that even though I had practiced and prepared so hard, I let my team down again!
I doubt anyone will read this because the data center is mostly JP, but just in case, I'm so sorry!

Just came out of Weeping city of Mhach, maybe 30 mins ago?
Got to the second boss's add phase before abandoning - why?
    Weeellll....

Network issues on a broad scale. It was happening to an FC mate, also (damn Comcast).
The tanks couldn't tank due to lag and D/Cing, so the bosses were running around maiming random party and alliance people.
I was raising and healing just about anything I could see (own party priority, though)
Healers in alliances were also lagging, so they were dying and raised all over the place....
    DPS were tanks,
    Tanks were DPS,
    Healers were dead area rugs,
and someone kept pulling without the tanks...
but the tanks couldn't hold or take back aggro due to lag.

To put it in perspective - on AST, I was about 50% mp on just the first HALF of the first trash in the entire raid, raising and healing. Yes. The first three-four monsters in the entirety of Weeping city.

Finally wiped, for good, at the three adds of the second boss, due to add phase enrage.
Vote abandoned at the second boss. Hilarious.
This was special, on so many levels.

I was both frustrated and having a hilariously good time, at the same time.... this was NOT doable, but part of me just wanted to keep going, just like this, for the challenge alone... roflmao. BRING IT. xD /masochist?

And now imagine a vote abandon at the second boss because the alliance actually sucked. I had a run like this, we were a premade of 7 Germans, the pug in our party as well as pretty much the rest of the alliance was French. One of our healers explained the bosses in English, the French people were all like "en français!!" and started raging at how ignorant we are for not speaking French So, at the second boss they suddenly refused to do any mechanics, and while I was struggling explaining the mechanics to the firsttimers in a weird mix of auto-translate and my bad French skills, the guys of my premade suddenly refused to speak English and started talking in German. Great job - OF COURSE people think we are ignorant if we behave like this!

    So, this combination of new people, stupid people, ignorant people and a seemingly insurmountable language barrier killed us ;_;

what is more funny of all is...most people if not all, especially Young generation does speak or at least have enough understanding of English to actually play a game where it is almost required to have some basic knowledges of English...this is probably the funniest thing I have read in a long time...

so sorry you had such a run (even if hilarious)

Sure, and everyone in my premade can speak English very well, but I made this bad experience that the majority of French players simply refuses to speak any other language than their mother tongue - that's at least my personal explanation for the "lack" of English skills, I mean, English is taught at French schools too...

Not necesseraly though. It is not taught in a mandatory way everywhere. For example, for me, french is my mother tongue, mandatory was german, and I had the choice of wheather to take up italian or English as a third language, in my case I took English as italian is my second mother tongue but not all do so. So yes is possible that many may not speak English at all yet....because they effectively did not take it up at school.

    Still funny though
