Yes. DRK loves its crit and det. BW makes sks worse, and sks makes BW worse because the smaller your GCD the less of a gain BW is due to it being % based instead of a flat increase. Merely having BW as an ability provides you with all the attack speed you need and synergizes very well with a Crit/Det-heavy build.

Honestly as far as the Tank stats go it isn't like there is really much choice anyway considering Parry is mostly crap, Skill Speed is blegh or has diminishing returns, and you probably already have enough accuracy anyway. Which just leaves Crit and Det.

    Such stats such customization.

You're right. Pretty sure everyone is just going to go pure Crit/Det, with maybe some Skill Speed thrown in there, but considering literally every other weapon alternative that Pld has comes with Parry, I'll take that customization. It's better than having SE throw away my stat points on a stat I don't use ... like, ever.

Actually since det scaling is linear it's the one with diminishing returns. Spd has increasing return since there's a fixed amount of spd point required to reduce gcd by a fixed amount of 0.01s, so unless there's a problem with clipping dot, spd is more effective the more you have it.

For warriors, if we reach a point where getting 10 gcds berserk is obtainable easily, the stat weight for spd might actually increase, possibly surpassing det, since det is just a tiny bit better than spd for now. Of course this is simply a speculation, but I can understand why some ppl want to build crit/spd instead of crit/det on their anima.

(another thing that annoys me is that if I go crit/det I'll have to put 5 points into spd lol, so I'm still split between crit/det and crit/spd)

getting more SkS is not just about 9-hit berserks. There is an amount needed in a8s to have a IB before the first tank buster, thetre an an amount that lets you maintain SE SP and use BB too (very useful in later stages of A7S when AOE dmg gets bad)

Crit/Det/5Sks will be the best stat weight option for the relic for sure, but doing less det and more SkS has other things that can become useful.

yes a 10hit zerk be great but the amount of SkS to obtain that would mean dropping a ton of det and crit (maybe with i270 gear in 3.4 it may be more reachable) so its not really in the equation right now. Maybe getting a 10hit with arrow card becomes an option

its easy to have about 750 SkS without any on the wep w/ food, which covers all the needed marks (depending on ping i guess), so I am unsure just how useful the SkS on the wep will actually be, 870SkS does not give any new doors opened for rotations over 750, and if weights are correct would give less of a boost then going det and 5sks on it.

Yeah I was just correcting the claim that spd has diminishing return, and I mostly agree with your points.

When I mentioned about 10 gcds berserk I was mostly thinking about the upcoming 3.4 patch under the assumption that the future upgrades of the anima will retain the stats we decided in 3.3, just like the 2.X relic weapons. Crit/det with 5 spd will be the best for now, but in 3.4 it may no longer be the best anymore. The stat weight difference between 120/115/5 and 120/0/120 is just slightly less than 3 vit's worth at the moment, so it's not unthinkable that 120/0/120 will be the better choice in 3.4. This is making me unsure about which one to go for, since having more spd is also nice. ><

Since I haven't cleared a7s, let me ask a bit about getting IB before the first tank buster. Are you assuming unchained + berserk opener which gives you access to IB after one eye and one butcher combo?
